WOJAC Canon version 1

Carl Janssen 2022

WOJAC Canon Version 1

Over riding

If this contradicts previous writing about the world of job creation or WOJAC than this version over rides the previous entries if there is a version 2 than version 2 over rides version 1.  Each version number over rides the previous version number

The name of the fictional multiverse

The name WOJAC is an acronym for World Of Job Creation.  The extra A is to put a vowel in so it can be pronounced and currently has no meaning.  If this over laps with a previously existing name someone else has trademarked or copyrighted and I find out then I plan to change the name unless I find out the people in charge of the copyright or trademark do not object or if it is for a totally unrelated thing that will not cause confusion and such a change is not legally required.

Pronounciation

The O in WO shall be pronounced like saying the name of the English letter O

Spelling could potentially be changed to WOJACK as in World Of Job CKreation to make it easier to understand how to pronounce

JAC shall be pronounced like the English name Jack as in the modern spelling version of the nursery rhyme Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water

An older version might have been Jack and Gil instead of Jack and Jill according to wikipedia

https://web.archive.org/web/20221107064331/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_and_Jill

Not to be confused with Wojak although there is some conceptual overlap by coincidence

Upon a internet search for WOJAC to check for previous copyrighted or trademarked works I found a wikipedia article on WOJAK.  The name was not intended to be the same as that WOJAK.  Although coincidentally many of the things between how people behave in the WOJAC fictional multiverse overlap with the Wojak memes

https://web.archive.org/web/20221025224526/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wojak

Not to be confused with World Organization Of Jews From Arab Countries (WOJAC)

https://web.archive.org/web/20220415145700/https://www.encyclopedia.com/humanities/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcripts-and-maps/world-organization-jews-arab-countries-wojac

The name WOJAC does not include Jew or Arab in the acronym meaning.  The J is for Job not Jew.  The organization is enough different than the game that I do not believe the two would be confused.  If the World Organization Of Jews From Arab Countries WOJAC insists the name get changed the following are two possibilities.

Since the A vowel has no meaning and just is meant to make it easier to pronounce, the A vowel can be changed to an E for enforcement making the acronym World Of Job Enforcement Creation WOJEC.   But WOJEC is more difficult to guess how to pronounce than WOJAC for United States English speakers.  Spelling could also be changed to WOJACK to prevent overlap with that organization if they object.

WOJAC includes a fictional multiverse, world or campaign setting that can be used within any game system

Ravenloft, Dark Sun, Planescape or Forgotten Realms are different campaign settings or worlds within the game system of Dungeons and Dragons

Dungeons and Dragons has certain rules that are mostly the same across all worlds but the game can take place in different worlds or campaign settings.  There will be slight changes of the rules from one world to another but the main rules system will be dungeons and dragons for any of the campaign settings of Ravenloft, Dark Sun, Planescape or Forgotten Realms.

WOJAC is primarily like a world or campaign setting that can be used within any game system and not primarily a game system in and of itself.  Although technically WOJAC is a multiverse composed of many different worlds with each colony in a different world, parallel universe, pocket dimension or plane of existence.

The WOJAC game world and system is designed to be combined with any other game system that uses proficiencies / skills and modify it.

WOJAC might best fit game systems that have different skill or proficiency levels without character levels.

WOJAC in short summary

Earth had a interfaith Ecumenical Religious Council run by a Roman Catholic Pope who had a Jewish mother and a Muslim father.  Pope John Saul Muhammad had an ecumenical council where he invited all the most influential religious leaders of the world including not just those from his Catholic, Jewish and Muslim background but also those from all other faiths that influence a large enough proportion of humanity.  At the meeting the religious leaders agreed on two shared elements to all their faiths to promote obedience to the government and to promote employment.  They decided that Earth shall only have one government and that those who are able bodied adults who are unemployed shall be banished to other realms than earth that serve as prisons where they will receive vocational rehabilitation.  Those banished to such prisons have their minds wiped of memories of earth so that they shall never return and do not even realize that the realms they live in are prisons but instead call them colonies.

Some people volunteer to go instead of being banished as punishment even though they know they will have their minds partially wiped.  The reward for such a decision is for all the volunteers to be granted permission to create the social blueprints for a Secret Society before being sent to another realm and to not have their mind wiped of the social blueprints even though their memory of earth shall still be erased.  This Secret Society enables them and those who they select for demonstrating sufficient levels of sadism to exert a greater influence on the prison colonies than other colonists who are not members.

WOJAC is set in a future with unrealisticly advanced technology where virtually anything can be created by advanced technological devices called black boxes.  Unfortunately the black boxes were programmed to encourage Job Creation so people are forced to mostly use technology from 2019 AD or ACE or earlier because even though the black boxes can create items of futuristic levels of technology they refuse to in order to maintain jobs.  People could get unlimited food and water from these black boxes but are forced to work using primitive technology to make food.  Entire buildings are destroyed sometimes as early as the next day just to force people to have the job of building them all over again.  People can not get enough sleep because of the job creation program but can not complain about it or they will be sent into rehabilitation centers where they will be tortured and reeducated.  Torture combined with reeducation is simply called Rehabilitation for short.

In WOJAC humans have been genetically engineered to eliminate the conflicts that come with race and gender differences by eliminating race and gender altogether.  People on earth have not had their gender or race removed but those is in the colony have as part of a social experiment to determine if the same should be done on earth.  In the WOJAC colonies old Human bodies whether dead or living are sacrificed to black boxes in order for new humans to be created by black boxes in a process called Recycling.  Recycling is a form of human reproduction unique to WOJAC that works without humans having gender.  There is no dating or marriage in WOJAC and people do not have people they call their parents or children in WOJAC.

During recycling the memories and genetics of many people before them are scrambled and combined.  People created by recycling immediately have skills that would take years to learn which they inherited from individuals recycled before them.  The memory of past lives of recycled individuals is not believed as legitimate evidence by society when it comes to taking legal actions like sending anyone who might have killed someone they were recycled from to rehabilitation.

Those banished from earth came to the WOJAC realms by having their bodies shoved into a black box on earth that teleported them by destroying their body and creating a duplicate of their body without race or gender and with a partially wiped mind which was located in the WOJAC realms upon creation.  Normally two bodies plus raw materials are used to create three bodies but when people are banished this happens differently where they essentially get their original body and original mind except the modifications of removing race, gender and memory of the existence of earth.

Democracy is the way of life in WOJAC as people spend at least 20 hours a week voting, creating policies to vote on and discussing policies but when it comes to actually counting votes they do not.  The black boxes do that for them and do not tell them how many votes were for or against a copy of a policy but simply whether it passed or failed to pass.

Common citizens have jobs of doing psychological operations on other citizens

Rehabilitation Officers torture and do psychological experiments on citizens who were captured by Security Officers doing Enforcement work.

Spies from the Actors Guild infiltrate groups pretending to join them to find dissenters

The Actors Guild also has Cinematic Illusionists who turn movie magic into what people believe to be reality

Tracks persons seek those who would flee the city and try to escape to the wilderness in addition to doing animal management

Even the regular Maintenance Men may sabotage the day to day Jobs other people are assigned to do just to get work done on time

And Bureaucrats and Clergy rule mobs of people for their own personal gain

But bureaucrats do not push paper anymore as paper has been outlawed and all notes must be taken on electronic devices that can be monitored constantly and that erase personal notes more than 8 days old

Which would have had been useful to have if you wanted to point out that just 2 weeks ago the world was going to end in 9 days, when someone just spent a half an hour of your life telling you that now it is going to end again in another month so you better join their congregation or else

Mentalists in the Mind Power club have amazing power to influence other people's mind but seem to have lost their own thinking there is no world at all

Mad Scientists from the Science Club can not even figure out the shape of the world and may send missiles raining down on people as minor but very much justified research accidents

But it is hard to blame them for their lack of knowledge because there is no rhyme or reason to geography or astronomy in WOJAC.  The world, the sun, moon and stars around them seem to change themselves in most peculiar ways.  The Sun may rise in the opposite side of the sky tomorrow compared to yesterday.  And people who think they are traveling in a straight line sometimes end up back where they started without seeming to go full circle at all.

At least there is a working calendar just do not look too far back in the past or you will end up in Rehabilitation

Hope almost comes to WOJAC in the form of an Alternate Order who try to Sabotage tasks into being completed early but not even those who The State has deemed Anarchist criminals can agree enough to fix the real problems and just might end up stealing your stuff to make things equal, or trying to trick you into 600 years of labor for a sandwhich in a free trade transaction, or dreaming that some magic black box will take care of everything even when that goes against one of it's own prime directives to make more jobs

Description of WOJAC multiverse in detail

WOJAC focuses on a society in which people try to influence each other to believe and obey whatever The State says.  There are Religious Organizations that try to get people to obey them, plus The State.  The Religious Organizations are allowed to function by The State because they promote obedience to the State.  The State and Religious Organizations creates laws based on people voting on policy in electronic forums with the votes tabulated by black boxes that show the outcome of the votes but not the number of votes.

The Black Box of Democracy

Policies are created in a somewhat democratic manner.  Someone proposes a policy on a Electronic Forum.  Then in order for the policy to pass enough people in total must vote on the policy and also a high enough percent must vote for the policy to pass.  If 100% of the people other than the person who proposed the policy voted for the policy not to pass then it would not pass.  But exactly how many votes or exactly what percent are required for a policy to pass nobody knows because the black box decides the vote by a secret method.

Handheld Devices, Personal Notes, Electronic Discussion Forums and Electronic Voting Forums

Each citizen is mandated a handheld electronic device like a smart phone that is biometricly linked to identify them.  On that device they can take personal notes that the public does not read but which can be read by someone with authorization to spy on their notes.  Personal notes are like a hard drive.  They can also post content on electronic discussion forums and voting forums.  Discussion forums are like social media where people can discuss things.  Voting forums only contain written policies that people can vote to pass or not to pass.  If you want to discuss about what policies to vote on you would do that on a discussion forum.  Voting is done using hand held devices.

There is one central Giant Black Box in each colony.  That Black Box connects with other black boxes like a WiFi or Blue Tooth.  And those black boxes connect with all the handheld devices like a WiFi or Blue Tooth.

The other black boxes fly or levitate around the colony and up to a short distance in the wilderness that is sufficient to provide some limited assistance for people to gather resources in the wilderness.  If you go beyond a certain distance in the wilderness the handheld devices will still work offline offline but will not consistently work online to connect to Electronic Forums.  They handheld devices still record and monitor the activity of the person using them even when they are offline only to send that information to the black boxes automatically the moment they go online again.  The Black boxes do not really care what people do as long as they appear to be meeting their weekly work requirements.  The Black boxes do not send a signal for someone to be rehabilitated unless they fail to meet the weekly work requirements.  The black boxes do not send data to human beings about other human beings breaking policies that were voted on in forums.  If however someone fails to achieve to do enough hours the black boxes will send a signal that that person should be rehabilitated for failure to meet hours.

People put in their personal notes a log of their working hours.  The Black Boxes try to use the data given to them by the handheld devices about the recorded behavior of the user to try to confirm that the user has truly been doing the category of each type of work they describe themself as doing in the log.  Someone can not simply put something in a log and trick the black boxes into thinking they made the hours.  The Black Boxes essentially have a 24 hour a day video and audio recording they monitor of everything every person using a handheld device does.  People trying to spy on other people do not have access to that 24 hour surveillance data that the black box does.  Whether or not someone thinks the camera and microphone in their hand held device is running or not it is running 24 hours a day but does not record the video and audio in the personal notes or in electronic discussion forums unless the user of the handheld device authorizes it to.

If someone were to destroy their electronic device while it was offline they would lose credit for all the hours of work they did from the period it last went offline until they are issued a new device again.  If they get close enough to the city that they clearly should be able to connect to the WiFi system but are unable to connect then they will be biometricly detected as missing a handheld device and issued a new one.  This may seem like a good idea but it will provide them no benefit because they will lose credit for all the work hours and because the black boxes do not post any data about their activity collected by the camera and microphone of their handheld devices to the public unless they authorize them to by knowing using the camera and microphone and then saving the data on their personal notes or posting the data on discussion forums.

Black Boxes automatically delete all data more than 168 hours old posted on electronic discussion forums, voting forums.  Whenever handheld devices are connected to WiFi or bluetooth black boxes delete all information more than 168 hours old from personal notes from handheld devices more than 168 hours old.  People can not turn on or off the handheld device connection to the WiFi or bluetooth

Paper and books are outlawed in WOJAC to prevent History Crimes and other thought crimes being able to be written without being detected through electronic monitoring.  In WOJAC it is a history crime to tell people about an event in the past that happened more than 168 hours ago..  Some exceptions are permitted for mythological events that are religiously oriented or origin of the universe type mythologies like evolutionism and creationism provided they do not reference measurements of historical dates like a specific number of years ago something evolved or was created but only have vague amounts of time like it happened a really long time ago.  Evolution and creation origin myths in WOJAC are not the same as on Earth.  Evolution myths might include claims not about genetic evolution but about how different types of animals developed more and more advanced structures to organize work they might mention societies like worker ants or honey bees and then mention how human society came to be by evolving an even more advanced work structure.

History Crimes Electronic Notes and Outlawing of Paper

It is considered permissible to take notes about the history of people you are monitoring and their violations but you need to report those violations before they are deleted within the 168 hour deadline or they will be deleted.  How can someone get a History Crime violation then?  For one they could mention an event that happened more than 168 hours ago even though it was deleted.  Another way would be to write about an event on paper so it will not be deleted.  Someone could also copy an old piece of writing from their personal notes with a date written in it.  The old piece of writing would be deleted because it expired but the copy of the note might not be deleted yet.  Someone could also wait until two days after an event occured to write about it in such a case they might have record of an event that is 7 days old referring to an event that happened 9 days ago which normally would have been cleared from the record of history.

Black Boxes do not report people from doing such History Crimes but if people find such history crimes in people's personal notes by their own personal investigation then they can send those people into Rehabiliation.  If someone writes about an event that happened less than 24 hours after the fact that is considered acceptable as you can not write about events as they are happening but if someone writes about an event more than 48 hours after it happened that is considered a history crime.  An exception might be made for hearsay if you just heard someone say something happened less than eight days ago where they witnessed someone violate a rule, you are allowed to write their report as long as they do not report a violation that happened more than 168 hours ago to you.  But if someone tries to use a series of hearsay about hearsay to refer to events really far in the past in an obvious attempt to record history as opposed to an attempt to catch  violators that would be considered a History Crime.

What groups use voting forums

The State has public Electronic Voting Forums.  There are three religious groups Neo-Polytheists, Neo-Christians, Judeo-Islam.  Each of the three religious groups have their own public Electronic Voting Forums.  The group The Ladder does not control behavior by voting but by rank.   The Secret Society does not have a public Electronic Voting Forum and non members in the general public do not know much of anything about it other than it has a building the public can see.  There are other groups like Mind Power, the Actors Guild and the Science Club where people meet to practice their hobbies and do not impose any extra rules on people's lives that are not imposed by The State.  Mind Power and The Science Club will get people to believe wrong things but do not try to enforce a behavior code.  The Actor's guild will teach people how to Spy on dissenters and how to do Cinematic Illusions to influence people's behavior but does not impose a behavior code.  There maybe many other groups that serve a specific purpose but do not impose a behavior code beyond the policies imposed by The State.

What is the punishment for violating State Policy

Violation of policies voted for in The State Electronic Voting Forum are enforced on everyone with punishment of Temporary or Permanent Rehabilitation.  Permanent Rehabilitation usually only occurs as punishment for killing.  Killing is considered a wrong doing by The State because a dead person can not work a job and therefore killing interferes with job creation.

Permanent Rehabiliation

Permanent Rehabilitation is essentially a life sentence to a mental hospital in which instead of being treated to get better people torture you every day to try to practice how to better control people's behavior through torture.  Permanent Rehabilitation is viewed as donating your body to a good cause.  It is figured that although people in permanent rehabilitation may have destroyed jobs by killing someone they will spend the rest of their life creating jobs by giving those who torture them a job to do.  It is considered a positive contribution to society to be Permananently Rehabiliated because it will help Rehabilitationists learn the skills to Rehabilitate other people.  Permanent Rehabilitation can also be called a "life sentence of rehabilitation" or "donating your body to rehabilitation practice."

Temporary Rehabilitation

Temporary Rehabilitation is where you are taken to the Rehabilitation Center and tortured while being talked to about why you should have more faith in The State.  Sometimes instead of torturing people they force people to torture other people and threaten to torture them if they do not torture other people.

Rehabilitation sometimes teaches violence

Sometimes they try to persuade those in Temporary Rehabilitation to become murderers after they leave and sometimes they intentionally release people who are supposed to be permanently rehabilitated by accident especially during certain holidays, seasonal events or special events.

What is the punishment for violating religious group policy

Policies on a religious group voting forum are not officially enforced at State Rehabilitation centers but Clergy members who are also Rehabilitationists are not forbidden from trying to influence people's religious beliefs.  Although killing results in Permanent Rehabilitation, hurting someone really badly or kidnapping them does not.  Sometimes members of religious groups kidnap people who violate policies created on Religious Electronic Voting Forums.

The Secret Society

In order to be a member of the secret society you must have a official public persona in which you are a member of one of the three religious groups.  You have to be offered membership in the secret society and agree to such an offer then perform the initiation rituals to be a member of the secret society.

The Secret Society has religious initiation rituals involving teaching a story about humans landing on the planet the colony is in using a spaceship done as a practical joke on people trying to become new members.  This initiation ceremony happens in the wilderness and not in the building in order so that people can not see inside the building without doing the ritual first.  This spaceship story is not historically true in the WOJAC fictional multiverse.

Some people sneak into the Secret Society building to try to sleep and if they did not enter in through the proper initiation rituals they will be sacrificed instead of sent in for Rehabilitation.  Those who enter in through the proper process may use the building to sleep but if someone finds them sleeping they might wake them up and tell them they thought of a really good practical joke.  They would then insist that they do some sort of cruel sometimes fatal and sometimes not so fatal prank on people who are not members of their group.  People do not always have to be injured for the prank to be funny according to some of them but they certainly have to be annoyed for them to be satisfied with the prank.

If someone who joined the society reports the identity of members of the society or the pranks, crimes and rituals the society is involved with to people outside the society then the people who hear the story will be sacrificed and the person who reports it will be warned not to do that again and be subject to varying degrees of punishment or retaliation by society members and may or may not be allowed to continue as a member on the condition that they agree not to do that anymore.

If someone reports it on a discussion forum then all the people in Rehabilitation will suddenly intentionally accidentally be released.  And too many people to be possible to count will be found dead in the city and  even some in the wilderness.

Some of the members of the secret society do rituals involving human sacrifice and pretend to worship a deity called State Tan.  Some of them do it just for the fun of it and not think State Tan really exists.  The members of the secret society who know about the human sacrifice ritual and help it continue can not be effected by psychological attacks as described in WOJAC game mechanics later because psychological attacks work based on someone's belief that they should follow State or Religious policies and these people do not believe that.  Some of the members of the secret society do not know about the human sacrifice rituals.  Usually they do not invite people to participate in the human sacrifice rituals unless they see indications that a person who is a member seems to be the kind of person who would not object to murdering people for the fun of it based on some behavior or set of behaviors they observed them doing.

Their are a large number of clergy members from all three religious groups in the secret society that try to influence holiday events to turn out more sinister.  They have behind the scenes versions of some of the holiday religions where they encourage some of the members of their local congregations to slaughter people.

The Three voting religious groups

The Three religious groups are Judeo-Islam, Neo-Polytheism and Neo-Christianity.  Humans who are members of the Judeo-Islam group are called Judeo-Muslims.

Judeo-Islam and monotheism

A type of monotheism that excludes Neo-Christians.  May believe there are multiple gods but they only worship one specific god or that only one specific god exists.  They believe that Neo-Christians covertly worship multiple gods.  There local congregations can teach different variations of Monotheism based on Jews, Muslims, Jehovah Witnesses, or Oneness pentecostalism in terms of monotheism.

Judeo-Islam and The difficult case of Oneness pentecostalism

Jehovah Witnesses, Muslims and Jews might find the idea that Jesus was God to be offensive but Oneness pentecostals believe Jesus was a single person who was God as opposed to one of multiple people who formed God therefore religions like oneness pentecostalism will be grouped in Judeo Islam and not Neo-Christianity for the purpose of WOJAC

Judeo-Islam and Food

Judeo-Islam always teaches that it is forbidden to eat pigs but very rarely doctrinal statements can be found that it is either permitted or even mandatory to eat pigs which were found as a successfully passed vote on Judeo-Islam voting forums.  A key concept in WOJAC is that contradictory policies can be created.  A large number of Judeo-Muslims consistently vote to create numerous policies to outlaw eating pigs with such policies usually having large voter turn outs but a small proportion of them occasionally create policies to require eating pigs and pass them with a very small voter turn out.  They might do this by having a bacon eating club where they do not tell other people who want to outlaw bacon about a copy of a policy they create in an Electronic Voting System and only tell other members of the bacon eating club about the user and location code for this policy.

Judeo-Islam and the Sabbath

Judeo-Muslims are forbidden from doing Maintanence Work on the Sabbath but are permitted to do Maintenance Work on other days of the week.  Judeo-Muslims are permitted to do Educational Work, Voting Related Work, and Monitoring, Compliance and Infotainment related MEC work on the Sabbath but are forbidden from doing Enforcement MEC work on the Sabbath

Neo-Christians conception of a single God or single deity team

- They somehow reject the type of polytheism taught by Neo-Polytheists while simultaneously rejecting the type of Monotheism taught by Neo-Polytheists.  Local Congregations can have different variations in what they teach similar to either Mormonism or Trinitarian Christianity such as either One God composed of Multiple Persons or One God-head composed of multiple gods or One team of good gods where all gods that are not on that team including the Neo-Polytheist gods are bad gods.  Local Congregations can also teach a Monotheistic form of Hinduism in which all the hindu gods or deities or statutes are manifestations of the same One god.

Neo-Christian Messiah or Messiahs

Neo-Christians do not necessarily believe in Jesus.  But they believe in at least one person who could be Jesus or could be someone else who was so committed to creating jobs, doing jobs and obeying The State that he or they sacrificed his or their life to never stop working for even a moment and to never disobey The State as a result the Neo Christian God, God Head or God Team rewarded this person or team of persons by Ressurecting them from the dead.  They are given special exception to teach that as a historical event without committing a History Crime but they are not allowed to give a date for when it happened only state that it did happen.  Sometimes Neo-Christian Clergy might claim to have died themself in the past and actually be that Messiah.

Neo-Polytheists - They believe in multiple gods in a way that is somehow not compatible with Neo-Christians.  They can have different Local Congregation teachings but all share belief in a mandatory pig eating and pig sacrificing festival to some god regardless of which gods they believe in.  None of them are permitted to kill cows or bulls or eat beef.

Neo-Polytheists and Food

Even though not all local congregations are hinduists a sufficient number of hinduist voters always vote on their forum overwhelmingly to outlaw eating beef such that it is a unremovable tenant.  If they are Himduists they strictly only believe in a version of hinduism with multiple gods that is inconsistent with Neo-Christian Hinduism.  In reality some Hinduists eat beef but in WOJAC what matters is a large enough number of them effecting the voting system.

The Ladder - The Ladder is a multilevel marketing group that markets the right to control people.  Each person is assigned a vertical rank and a horizontal rank.  The vertical rank is based on how many generations of followers they have below them.  Each generation is called a Rung or Step in the ladder.  The horizontal rank is simply the total number of followers they have in all generations below them.  If two people have the same vertical rank then the one with the higher horizontal rank is considered to outrank the other person.  If two people have different vertical ranks the person with the higher vertical rank is said to always outrank the other person no matter what the horizontal ranks are.  You can only join The Ladder by choosing someone who has already joined The Ladder as a Sponsor.  You are obligated to obey your Sponsor if you are in The Ladder as a teaching of The Ladder.  Why would someone join The Ladder for the reward of being allowed to become a Sponsor and control everyone under you.  If two people of the same rank tell someone what to do and one of them is their Sponsor and one is not their Sponsor then although they are obligated to obey both of them they are more obligated to obey their Sponsor but it is not permitted for them to say that it is not possible to obey both of them.  The higher the rank someone is relative to someone else the more obligated someone is to obey them.  Joining The Ladder does not exclude someone from joining any other group.

 Local Congregation Buildings

Even though there are only three religious groups each of the religious groups have many clergy members and many Local Congregation Buildings.  What is taught at one Local Congregation Building by one clergy member might be different than what is taught at another building by another clergy member at another time.  All the members of each religion are instructed to believe and obey whatever they are taught to believe and obey according to the group voting forum for their religion but clergy may add additional secret teachings that they do not say online while in a local congregation building.  When a clergy is also a member of the Secret Society they may tell someone in a private conversation to violate the policies against killing.  They will never post to kill people publicly in an online electronic discussion forum where they could easily be caught by a uncountably large number of people.  They will try to only tell such things to a countable number of people who they know and can later track down and Sacrifice, send to Rehabilitation or recruit to join the Secret Society.  Not all Clergy are members of the Secret Society.  Local Congregation Buildings are open 24 hours a day and always have a meeting and multiple clergy members take shifts.  A Clergy member is not tied to a single Local Congregation Building but can speak at multiple buildings in a single day.  Each Building is only used for one of the three religion groups exclusively and not for the other two.  Like most other buildings in WOJAC local congregation buildings are being both built and destroyed at a very fast rate to create jobs.

Previous versions of holidays on early drafts are over ridden by this newer version as need be

In this world there shall be a new moon every 28 days and the first day of every month shall be a new moon.

Saturday will be the 1st day of every Month

Weekly requirements

Educational Requirement

At least 20 hours must be spent either in State Celebration centers or Religious Congregations.  Someone can go to congregations from different and conflicting religions to meet this requirement but can only register as a member of one of the three religion's at a time.  Failure to do so will result in rehabilitation

Voting Requirement

At least 20 hours must be spent per week doing voting or voting related activities.  Failure to do so will result in rehabilitation

Maintenance Requirement

At least 20 hours must be spent per week doing maintenance chores - Failure to do so will result in rehabilitation

MEC Requirement

At least 20 hours per week must be spent in Monitoring, Enforcement, Compliance and Infotainment or MEC duties.  Failure to do so will result in Rehabilitation.  MECI duties are called MEC duties for short except to members of the Actors Guild and members of the Secret Society who are the only people who know about infotainment.  Members of the Actors Guild and Secret Society sometimes call them Micky duties but only when talking to one another.  When talking to other people members of the Secret Society and Actors Guild call them MEC duties

MEC duties can include -

Monitoring - Trying to find people who should be sent into Rehabilitation

Enforcement Tracking down people in the city or wilderness who have been assigned for Rehabilitation and using physical force to capture them and bring them to the processing section of the Rehabilation center.  This does not authorize anyone to enter any other part of the Rehabilitation center than the processing center.

Compliance - An elite few individuals who are permitted to work inside a Rehabilitation center to Rehabilitate people

Infotainment - This is psychological operations like doing plays or cinematic illusions to get people to influence people's beliefs and behaviors.  People know that plays exist but do not know that Plays are done as a psychological operation.  People also think that plays only happen in meetings at Congregation buildings and State Celebration centers.  They do not know that a Play can happen anywhere at any time and be labeled as Live News.  Watching a play while inside a State Celebration Center Building or Religious Congregation Building can count times toward meeting the weekly Education Requirement.  Performing a Play counts as time towards MEC duty requirements but does not count as meeting the Weekly Educational Requirement.

Special Authorization

In order to do Enforcement or Compliance duties someone needs to be authorized to do so as a mission.   Anyone cam do Monitoring or Infotainment duties without requiring authorization

Combined Weekly Requirement

At least 126 hours per week must be spent doing Education, Voting, Maintenance and MEC activities combined.  This is monitored by looking at the last 168 hours of activity.  If at any moment they have not completed at least 126 hours of those activities in the last 168 hours they will be sent to Rehabilitation.  This leaves them less than or equal to 6 hours per day on average to sleep, eat and go to the bathroom.

Neo-Polytheists Weekly Religious Attendance Requirements

Must spend at least 7 hours out of every week in Neo-Polytheist congregation buildings.  This is tracked by the Neo-Polytheist religious organization constantly looking at their attendance in the last 168 hours.

Newly created player Characters who select the Neo-Polytheist religion will be assumed to have spend 1 hour every day in the last 168 hours before they started playing that game for the first time.

Judeo-Muslims must spend at least 4 hours sometime between every Friday sunset and Saturday Sunset and will call this time period the Sabbath

Every first Saturday of the Month will be a special New Moon Sabbath

Neo-Christian Weekly Religious Attendance Requirements

Neo-Christians must spend at least 4 hours sometime between Sunday sunrise and Monday sunrise in a Neo-Christian congregation building

Monday is State Celebration Day

Monday is job appreciation day.  On Monday all people must go to one of the many State celebration centers in their colony and give a short speech to other people about how great the State is and how much they love having jobs assigned to them to do by The State.  They must spend at least 4 hours every Monday giving such speeches.

End of the World

Congregation clergy will say the world will end in some number of days between 9 and 180.  Nine days is 216 hours.  Every day they will decrease the number by 1.  Once there are less than 216 hours left until the end of the world they will start over with a new number of days.  They choose 9 days because history can not be tracked passed 8 days or 192 hours.  Reducing the number of days on the counter by 1 is not considered a History Crime in this case.  If they want they can choose to sometimes break the pattern and say some other number of days like jumping from 16 days left one day to to 14 days left the next day saying the end of the world is accelerating or jumping from 16 days left one day to 17 days left the next day saying they managed to buy the world some time whenever they want.

This can be a different number of days said by different clergy members within the same religious group or they can synchronize it so that all clergy members within the same religious group give the same number of days.  Or they can use the same number of days in all three religious groups.

The State can also has a end of the world countdown mentioned in State Celebration Centers that they say was discovered by members of the Science Club.  If you ask someone who is a member of the Science Club they will say I personally did not calculate that number but it must be true that some other members of the Science Club calculated it if they said it at a State Celebration Center.

The Four Seasons and Holidays

There is no such thing as a year in WOJAC.  People do not keep track of time in years in WOJAC because that would be a History Crime.

Each month shall have a multiple of 7 days in it.  All months shall include a whole number of weeks.

The first day of every month shall always be a Saturday

The first day of the month shall always be a New Moon and shall be a New Moon Sabbath

All seasons shall have an equal whole number of months per season

The order of the Seasons

Season of Life is before the Season of the Phoenix

Season of the Phoenix is before Season of Fear

Season of Fear is before Season of Preparation

Season of Preparation is before Season of Life

The Brightness of the Sky and the Temperature during Each Season

Season of Life - Cold and Bright -

Season of the Phoenix - Hot and Bright -

Season of Fear - Hot and Dark -

Season of Preparation - Cold and Dark -

The Holidays For Each Season

Season of Life - Lamb Day and Recycling Day

Season of Phoenix - Beef Eating Ceremony, Golden Calf ceremony, Spiritual High Day

Season of Phoenix - Should have a fourth of July mindset only instead of being about overthrowing The State it is about celebrating The State

Season of Fear - Samhain, Purim, Day of the Dead Sponsors / Founders Day

Season of Fear - Should have a theme of masquerade/custome parties, intentional doing things to make people feel fear and practical jokes

Season of Preparation - Hannukah, Tree Hanging Ceremony

Season of Preparation - People are looking forward to the Season of Life

Inspiration for Holidays in WOJAC

Inspiration for Lamb Day

Lamb Day is inspired by Passover without the whole escaping from Egyptian Slavery thing because Egyptian Slavery would have been viewed as a good job creation program and not something to escape from and the idea of a Egyptian Ethnicity, Nationality or Race would be incomprehensible since there are no races in WOJAC

Lamb Day was originally going to be the 14th day of the first month of the year based on Exodus 12:2 and Exdodus 12:6 but I decided to remove the concept of a New Year's Day, New Year's Eve and beginning and ending of years in WOJAC to be consistent with the principle of people never having a calendar with years.

Inspiration for Recycling Days

Recycling Days are inspired by Easter, Ishtar and the Spring Equinox

Inspiration for The Golden Calf and Beef Eating Ceremony

1 Eating of a molten Golden Calf as punishment for worshiping a Golden Calf

when Moses saw people worshiping a golden calf and melted down the Calf and made people eat or drink it as punishment except that people will be forced to eat beef instead of eating gold.  See Exodus 32:20

2 Prohibition of Eating Beef by some Hinduists

3 Shavuot or Shavuos and the Golden Calf being present with the giving of the ten commandments in Exodus 32

Inspiration for Spiritual High Day-

Spiritual High Day is inspired by Pentecost and the fumes and vapor theory for Pythia for the oracle at delphi and the Pharmakia theory

Inspiration for Hannukah as a violent holiday in WOJAC

To quote from the Jewish virtual Library

A brief Jewish rebellion only hardened his views and led him to outlaw central tenets of Judaism such as the Sabbath and circumcision, and defile the holy Temple by erecting an altar to the god Zeus, allowing the sacrifice of pigs, and opening the shrine to non-Jews.

The Jewish Hammer

Though many Jews had been seduced by the virtues of Hellenism, the extreme measures adopted by Antiochus helped unite the people. When a Greek official tried to force a priest named Mattathias to make a sacrifice to a pagan god, the Jew murdered the man.

Inspiration for Tree Hanging Ceremony

Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ whether or not it actually happened at that time period or some other time of year or not at all as some people believe.  There is no Christmas in WOJAC because people are not born in WOJAC in the normal way so I wanted another ceremony for Neo-Christians to replace Christmas.  The tree hanging ceremony is inspired by people who volunteer to be crucified in the philippines.

Crucifixion in the Philippines is a devotional practice held every Good Friday, and is part of the local observance of Holy Week. Devotees or penitents called magdarame in Kapampangan are willingly crucified in imitation of Jesus Christ's suffering and death, while related practices include carrying wooden crosses, crawling on rough pavement, and self-flagellation. Penitents consider these acts to be mortification of the flesh, and undertake these to ask forgiveness for sins, to fulfil a panatà (Filipino, "vow"), or to express gratitude for favours granted. In the most famous case, Ruben Enaje drives four-inch nails into both hands and feet and then he is lifted on a wooden cross for around five minutes

Inspiration for Purim Masquerade/Custome Parties

Purim is a party where people where costumes like Halloween but it is at a different time of year.  I moved it to the same Season as Halloween on the WOJAC calendar because it fits thematically.

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=purim+costumes&ia=web

Inspiration for Purim Violence

Purim is the celebration of killing a bunch of people in Esther chapters 8 through 9

Purim is mentioned as the name of the killing events in Esther 9:26

Purim is a celebration of paperwork that authorized killing and electronic paperwork is a WOJAC theme

Inspiration for Sponsor's Day/Founder's Day

Sponsor's Day is to represent Ancestor Worship in Confucian Society except people are created by recycling instead of the normal way by gender differences in WOJAC.  The Ladder treats people of a higher vertical rank in a similar manner to how people treat their biological ancestors in a Confucian Society even though they are not their biological ancestors.  Sponsor Day is also inspired by Day of the Dead, Halloween. All Saints Day, Samhain and Chuseok.

Founder's Day is a name of a day to celebrate the founding of a organization.  It could be a secular or religious organization and still have a Founder's Day for it.  By recruiting people into the Ladder these people are like founder's although nobody knows who really first started The Ladder and such a question of who were the very first founders would be forbidden to ask in the first place.

Ancestor worship was the filial son's spiritual expression. As

practiced in literati families, it emphasized the personal, rather than

the supernatural or absolute. The worshiper was to try to recall the

faces and mannerisms of his departed parents so that "the eyes of

the son should not forget the looks (of his parents) nor his ears their

voices; and that he should retain the memory of their aims, likings,

and wishes."

There are two major traditions related to Chuseok: Charye (Korean: 차례; Hanja: 茶禮, ancestor memorial services at home, also known as Jesa), and Seongmyo (Korean: 성묘; Hanja: 省墓, family visit to the ancestral graves), which is usually accompanied by Beolcho (Korean: 벌초; Hanja: 伐草, tidying graves, removing weeds around them).[2] Another major custom is to prepare the family's ancestors their favorite meals as an offering.

Inspiration for Samhain

Samhain is related to Halloween.  The name Samhain is chosen instead of Halloween to make it clearly fit Neo-polytheism instead of Halloween which is also associated with All Saints Day

Practice of Holidays in WOJAC

Hannukah -

On Hannukah the Neo-Polytheists try to persuade everyone else to sacrifice pigs to some god forbidden to Judeo-Muslims and Neo-Christians and to eat pigs.

They are sometimes OK with Neo-Christians if they at least eat the pigs even if they do not sacrifice the pigs to that forbidden god.  But sometimes they might consider not also performing the sacrifice to the forbidden god to be unacceptable

Neo-Polytheist clergy who are members of the Secret Society covertly try to convince the Neo-Polytheists to kill members of the Judeo-Islam group, vegetarians and anyone else who will not participate in the pig eating and sacrifice.

Judeo-Muslim clergy who are members of the Secret Society covertly try to convince members of the Judeo-Muslims try to kill Neo-Polytheists

Lamb Day and Recycling Days

Recycling Days shall be after Lamb Day and not on the same day as Lamb Day

Lamb Day and Neo-Christianity

Neo Christian clergy who are members of the Secret Society covertly tell Neo-Christians they will be forgiven for all past murders and any murders in the next 192 hours if they cover themselves in the blood of a lamb that they have assisted in sacrificing during passover and that they should present living sacrifices by hanging humans on trees and crucifying humans.    If they kill at least one person after being told so then they are invited to join The Secret Society.  If they refuse to join then they are sent to permanent rehabilitation for murder.

Lamb day and JudeoIslam

They consider it a violation of their religious policy not to slaughter lambs.

Members of the Secret Society who are Judeo-Muslim clergy try to persuade some of them to go to the mother colony to kill people in order to take lambs.

Lamb Day and The Lamb supply chain

Any colony without a daughter colony will not have a lamb supply

All Mother Colonies will try to get lamb supply from their daughter colonies if their daughter colonies have lamb suppy

Colonies will wage negotiation wars for lambs and try to steal lambs from other colonies without authorization.  They will insist on other colonies having to make extreme sacrifices in terms of goods or services in the negotiation process to get lambs.  People are willing to riot over the lamb supply.  This chain of events starts 192 hours before Passover.

Purim

Members of Judeo-Islam participate in a masquerade to celebrate the slaughter of Haman, the family of Haman and the team of Haman and are covertly told by members of the Secret Society that they should kill all people who are not Judeo-Muslims just as Haman's team and family were killed by Judeo-Muslims.  If they kill at least one person after being told so then they are invited to join The Secret Society.  If they refuse to join then they are sent to permanent rehabilitation for murder.  Mentioning the existence of Haman is given a special exemption and not considered a History Crime

Samhain

There is a Masquerade on Samhain in which all people are invited even members of Neo-Polytheism.  But for members of Neo-Polytheism Samhain is considered a very important religious holiday and is not optional.

Secret Society members who are also Neo-Polytheist clergy covertly try to mention that State Tan is one of the many gods in behind and try to get Neo-Polytheists who are not members of the secret society to sacrifice living humans to State Tan and if they refuse to participate then members of the secret society sacrifice them.  If they participate they get an invite to join the Secret Society and if they refuse to join then.  They are sacrificed because they heard the name of State Tan but did not join the Secret Society.

Day of the Dead Sponsors / Founders Day

Members of the Ladder go to the Morgue and try to listen to the voices of Ladder members who have previously died by trying to sit or stand next to the freezer where there corpse is stored.  If there corpse has already been recycled they may have seances or other means to try to talk to them.  They are trying to listen to Ladder members who were higher ranked then they are before their death.  They often hallucinate them giving them commands from beyond the grave and will try to obey whatever they believe they were told by people who were higher ranking than them before they passed away.  They will take notes on what they said and since notes only last 192 hours before being deleted, they will try to do whatever was on the notes about what the dead Sponsor's said for the next 192 hours.

Often they repeat past traumas by remembering things Sponsors told them to do when they abused their authority against them.  They often hallucinate some sort of punishment that the Sponsor tells them to do to themself if they do not recruit enough members in the next 192 hours.

That is bad enough in and of itself.  But members of the Secret Society will try to impersonate messages from their previous Sponsors who are now deceased telling them to kill or harm other people or do various pranks on people or do embarrassing things to themselves.

Even though it can be a crime to note history of anything more than 192 hours ago under most circumstances an exception is made that people can try to contact dead sponsors.  They have to get their names by memory as written records that old would be erased.  Unless they copy the same record over and over again to keep track of events more than 192 hours ago which is prohibited

Recycling Days

Dead bodies are stored in morgue freezers and later used in a special corpse finding treasure hunt event on Ishtar and Easter.  After the treasure hunt is over the bodies are put into black boxes and recycled to create new humans on a large scale.

Black boxes can recycle both living and dead human bodies to produce more human bodies then were put in if other materials are also added to the black boxes.  At least 2 human bodies are needed.  Parts of bodies are considered fractions if the bodies are not fully intact.

More Details about voting

Duplicate copies of policies and difficulty to repeal

People must spend at least 20 hours a week voting by a unquestionable law but voting related activities like writing policy can be considered part of that voting time.  People will often just write the same text over and over again to be voted on until it gets passed and often multiple duplicate copies with the exact same text are passed but each with a different location code and user identification code.  Once a policy is assigned for voting the text can not be altered.

Policies are automatically deleted after 192 hours.  When a copy of a policy is deleted the copy is said to expire but if another copy exists it can still be enforced using the location code of the copy that still exists.  It is important to note that the policy is not said to expire but the copy is said to expire, only if all the copies of a policy were to expire purely as a result of time would the policy expire purely as a result of time.  It is very common for people who like the text of a policy and do not know if it will pass the vote or do not want it to expire to copy and paste the exact text of a policy another user wrote.

It could be possible for multiple user and location codes for the same policy to exist but all be from the same user but it is very common for multiple user and location codes for the same policy text to exist with multiple users.  In fact for some very frequent policy texts the number of users who duplicated the exact same text is so high that it can not be counted.  For less frequent policy text the number of locations a duplicated policy text are posted is so high it can not be counted but looking at the top 300 copies one might find a finite number of users less than 10 that posted it that can be counted and might assume that less than 10 people wrote copies of the policy but could not prove that all copies were written by a finite and countable number of people.  For less frequent policy text one might only find a finite and countable number of copies that exist at the current time.

In order to repeal a copy of a policy the user and location code of each copy you want to repeal must be put inside the text of another policy and the text must be voted on and passed.  If there are a finite and countable number of policy copies someone can repeal the entire policy by copying and pasting the user and location code of every single policy copy into a single policy and then having that policy for repealment pass the vote.  Once a copy of a policy is repealed it is deleted.  If you repealed a policy to repeal a copy of another policy then it would not undelete the policy that was first repealed.  A copy of a policy that can not be found because it has been deleted can not be enforced.  However someone might repeal all the copies of a policy that currently exist and someone might pass another copy with the exact same text less then one minute later.

If there are so many copies of a policy that they can not be counted someone could reduce the frequency at which a policy could be found by persuading a lot of people to find and repeal copies of that policy.  That would make it more difficult for someone who wants to enforce a policy to find a user and location code of a copy of a policy to prove the text of a policy was passed and be permitted to enforce it.  But unless an uncountably large number of people were persuaded to repeal copies of that policy then the policy most likely could not be eliminated.

Location and User Identification Codes and How Policies are Found

There is one Code that lists the location of a policy and can also be used to find the user.  User and Location Codes are not separate codes.  There are two separate purposes for this one code, finding the identity of a User who wrote a policy and finding the Location of a policy.

All four of these things mean the same CODE in WOJAC Canon Version 1.  However some might have different emphasis as to the purpose at which that code is being used such as if it is only being used to find a User or only being used to find a Location even though it can be used to find both.  I would guess that in most or all cases the emphasis does not matter and it is simply a matter of poor proofreading.  It is not a real code but a fiction in a fictional world.

1 User Codes

2 Location Code

3 Location and User Codes

4 User and Location Codes

Each copy of a policy has a single location and user identification code that is created and shown as a picture on the bottom of the policy when it is created.  This picture can be copied and pasted like a picture on a document file only instead of being pasted onto document file it can be pasted into someone's personal notes on their electronic hand held device or pasted onto a discussion forum.  When it is pasted the person pasting it can put text captions next to it but not inside it so they can summarize what the picture is for in their own words.  When this picture is pasted into a discussion forum or someone's personal notes those reading the notes or forum can use the computerized system to find the online location of the original policy and the identity of the user who passed the policy with that code.  If the original policy location is more than 192 hours old then upon scanning the

Absolutely no one in the WOJAC multiverse knows how to open these pictures and look at any sort of binary sequence numbers for the code.  The code is not a series of letters, numbers, pictograms or other symbols that can be read by human beings but a image that can only be read by the operating system for the electronic forum which is controlled by the black boxes.  It is not like Chinese or Egyptian with a finite number of pictograms.  It is more like a multichromatic multi colored barcode or QR code with a series of colored dots inside a hollow monochromatic screen contrasting colored rectangle outline that has more pixels than the number of pixels the electronic screen can display no matter how much someone tries to zoom in and which can not be printed out in high resolution on paper because paper is forbidden.  Nobody in the WOJAC multiverse knows how to tamper with these things.

Contradictory policies

The policies can contradict each other because there is no rule that a policy passed must not contradict with previous policies passed by voting and people usually spend at least four hours out of every day voting.  There are so many policies written down that if someone tried to start reading all the policies and stop once they have read all the policies they would never finish reading.  The number of words of text in policies created per minute on electronic forums both for The State and for Religious Organizations is greater than the number of words per minute someone can read text.  Even if they could read at more than 3000 words per minute they could not read even 1% of all the policies made in a single day over a week of reading.  Finding a policy someone wants to is not a matter of whether or not it exists but how frequently it is made with certain exceptions.

Types of policies that can not ever be found

Certain policies that go against the concept of obedience to the State, permit tracking of history beyond it's prescribed limits or go against the principle of job creation will not be found.

Policies and Missions

Access to certain places or items is forbidden unless as part of a mission to serve the purposes of the State and then only for a limited time as authorized.  Policies that authorize such things will also not be found unless a mission happens or is authorized to happen.  Policies that occur involving anything in concrete terms such as a proper noun, a person's name, a specific time period or location, generally can not be found unless part of a mission.

Missions can be very broad such as certain activities for a holiday celebration being permitted to the public in general such as everybody in a religious group being allowed access to items for holiday party decorations.

Policies other than mission policies must be in abstract form not concrete form

Any policies in abstract form that involve all time periods, applies to all unrestricted locations, does not authorize access to equipment and applies to all people or people in some broad large scale organization, club or religion and does not violate the above rules can be found.  Such broad sweeping policies might be members of Judeo-Islam must not eat pork,

Extremely specific policies that might or might not be found could include authorizing a person by name to do a specific task, go to a specific location or access specific equipment for a specific time period.

Using contradicting policies to undermine faith in The State and the Religious Organizations that support The State

People who hear the policies contradict each other might lose faith in The State or might ignore what they are told or get really mad at the person who told them.  People try to avoid listening to information.  The goal is to get them to listen to information so that they can decide to stop forcing everyone to waste time doing jobs and mandatory meetings created by The State.

The mandatory meetings and useless tasks take so much time that people are sleep deprived.  Sometimes people try to sneak into the wilderness to take a nap but those who try to escape are hunted down to be rehabilitated.  Sometimes the people sent to hunt those who escape the city would rather take a nap than hunt them down but then people would hunt down those hunters.

Dice Rolls in WOJAC

For success or failure rolls only

If rolling 3 six sided dice a roll total of 15 or higher means a reroll is added in which the results of the next roll are added to the previous roll and if 15 or higher is rolled again another reroll can be done and added to the previous results as many times as this continues.  Rolling a total of 6 or lower on future rolls after the first one does not result in re rolling.

In Hero System 3 sixes are used for success  or failure rolls

If rolling 3 six sided dice a roll total of 6 or lower means a reroll is subtracted in which the opposite of the results of the next roll are added as a negative number to the previous roll and if a absolute value of 15 or higher is rolled again another reroll can be done and added as a negative number to the previous results as many times as this continues.  Rolling a total of 6 or lower on future rolls after the first one does not result in re rolling.

In Dungeon and Dragons 1 twenty is used for success or failure rolls

If rolling 1 twenty sided die a roll total of 17 or higher means a reroll is added in which the results of the next roll are added to the previous roll and if 17 or higher is rolled again another reroll can be done and added to the previous results as many times as this continues.  Rolling a total of 4 or lower on future rolls after the first one does not result in re rolling.

In current WOJAC game mechanics.  Not just whether or not someone succeeds or fails but how much someone succeeds or fails by is very important in WOJAC for making authomatic success or failure potentially undesirable and a minimum or maximum die roll range for success or failure also potentially undesirable.  If this mechanism is too complicated it may later be replaced with other mechanisms.

Special WOJAC Proficiencies / Skills, Attributes and powers

Double Think is a detrimental Proficiency / Skill or Attribute

Cognitive Dissonance is a detrimental Proficiency / Skill or Attribute

Faith is a detrimental Proficiency / Skill

Doctrine is a beneficial Proficiency / Skill

Bureaucracy is a beneficial Proficiency / Skill

Research  is a beneficial Proficiency / Skill

Hypnosis is a Special Power or a beneficial Proficiency / Skill

Invention is a Special Power or a beneficial Proficiency / Skill

In a game system with classes and levels hypnosis and invention would be special class powers available only to certain classes that they improve in when they gain a level in that class

In game systems without classes and levels hypnosis and invention might be proficiencies or skills

Defense Mechanisms against Information

I originally wanted to have at least three defense mechanisms against information, fear double, think, and cognitive dissonance.  Fear would result in avoiding information because you are afraid to listen to it.  Double think would involving hearing two contradictory claims but ignoring that there is a contradiction.  Cognitive dissonance would involve a painful reaction to two contradictory or seemingly contradictory claims that you both want to believe.

What it means to Fail or Succeed at a double think Check

Failure at double think is to notice a contradiction and success at double think is to ignore a contradiction.

Double think and not knowing you are violating a moral code

If someone wants to do something that violates a moral code they are instilled to participate in by part of a group they have faith in if they succeed at a double think check then they can do that action and also believe they have not violated that moral code.

Double think and ignoring what you believed to be your limitations

If someone wants to do something that really is possible to do but they believe is impossible to do because of a delusion they have then they can do so if they succeed in a double think proficiency check.  For example if someone believes they are a 100 foot tall giant who is much wider in both horizontal directions than a certain door which is less than 10 feet tall then if they make a successful double think check they can open the door and walk inside the house without realizing that a 100 foot tall person could not walk into that house after opening the door.  But if they fail the double think check then they can not open and walk through that door.

Double think and ignoring the reality of your limitations

If someone is trying to do something they believe is possible because of a delusion they have even though reality shows it is impossible then they will continue to try to do so if they succeed at a double think check.  For example if someone believes they have super strength and can lift 200 thousand pounds but can only lift 200 pounds and tries to lift a 4000 pound object normally they would know they can not lift it, but if they roll a successful doublethink check they will continue to believe they can lift it and might continue to try to lift it.

What are psychological attacks

In WOJAC game mechanics A psychological attack is not a magic or psionic attack or hypnosis but simply telling people information.

In WOJAC there will also be hypnosis which will not be a magic or psionic power but a way to present sensory information to someone or to oneself to cause harmful or beneficial psychosomatic effects or positive or negative hallucinations usually involved in how someone processes pain.  Hypnosis is not a psychological attack

In WOJAC people obey people or organizations they have faith in

In WOJAC people have faith in people that represent organizations or in organizations themselves

If a clergy member in WOJAC gets someone to have faith in their religious organization.  Then they will get their victim to obey what the religious organization says.  But for some clergy that is not good enough.  The second step is to get the person to have faith in the name of the Clergy member that represents the organization they have faith in.  If a Clergy member gets someone to have faith in THEIR NAME as a representative of the organization then they can get the person to obey not just what the religious organization says but what that specific Clergy member says.

The steps to a psychological attack

Step 1

The Attacler must make a doctrine, bureaucracy or research check to find or create information.  A doctrine check is instantaneous but a bureaucracy or research check means waiting at least 4 hours to move on to the next step.  This step is necessary for all four kinds of psychological attacks as the attacker needs information to persuade the defender.  A doctrine or research check involves finding information but a bureaucracy check involves creating information.

Step 2 The Attacker must fail a double think check if the psychological attack involves a contradiction.  If it does not then no double think roll is required and this step can be skipped.

Step 3 The Attacker gets to roll a psychological attack if they passed steps 1 and 2.  The defender gets a bonus based on their faith in the organization or person's NAME or BRANCH involved if the attacker is trying to lower their faith.  The defender get's no faith bonus if the attacker is trying to raise their faith.  The defender will get a bonus based on their double think and cognitive dissonance scores only if a psychological attack uses a contradiction or is trying to persuade them to do something they do not want to do which contradicts with their goals or lifestyle preferences.  In the case of a faith building attack they usually will not get their Faith, Cognitive Dissonance or Double think bonuses applied to resist it but usually will get these bonuses for the other types of psychological attacks.  The defender will also get a bonus based on whatever attributes are used to resist this kind of attack which is system specific and maybe Wisdom in D&D or Ego or Defensive Mental Combat in Hero System or might be Willpower in another system and they will get this bonus no matter which type of psychological attack it is unlike the faith bonus.  This attack will either fail or succeed.  In the case of a failure how much it fails by determines whether or not cognitive dissonance or double think is experienced.

Step 4 A successful attack will raise or lower faith in a specific organization or person by 1 point depending on the attacker's goal.

If it fails the defender may potentially experience double think or cognitive dissonance.

Step 5 When a defender is attacked whether or not the attack succeeds, if the defender does not experience cognitive dissonance they make a attribute check using a attribute with a name similar to "Learning" or "Intelligence" (it's name depending on the game system) and if they succeed at that attribute check

One way to decrease faith in a organization is to point out contradictions between someone's behavior and the policies of a organization they have faith in

Another way to decrease faith in a organization is to point out contradictions between two different policies a organization they have faith in

A third way to decrease faith in a organization is to point out contradictions between two different claims about the nature of reality itself a organization someone has faith in has made

When you point out contradictions, people may use the mechanisms of double think or cognitive dissonance to resist.  Cognitive Dissonance will include certain behaviors or psychosomatic illnesses.

Double Think and It's relation to psychological attacks

Before a attacker may make a psychological attack against a defender in which a contradiction is involved the attacker must first roll a double think check using the attacker's double think

If the attacker succeeds at the double think check then the attacker fails to notice a contradiction and is not allowed to make the psychological attack

If the attacker fails at a double think check then the attacker notices the contradiction and is permitted to make a psychological attack

The defender will use the defender's double think as a modifier to the attacker's roll if the attacker is permitted to make the psychological attack as described later

If someone is presented information with two contradictory claims and they say both claims are true then they have successfully double thinked.  If they do not realize there is a contradiction because they can not remember both of the claims at the same time but instead only remember one or neither of the two claims then that is not double think.

Double think can also occur when someone believes they did a action that violates a moral code but believes they did not violate that moral code by doing an action that violated that moral code.

If a game master wants the players to know whether a psychological attack on a non player character failed because of double think or through simply not remembering or hearing both of the contradictory claims the following game play mechanism can be used.

Claim 1 contradicts Claim 2

The psychological attacker says the defender's organization had made both Claim 1 and Claim 2

OR

Claim 1 is that an organization the Defender is in forbids doing X

Claim 2 is that the attacker saw the Defender doing X.  And it looks like the Defender really enjoyed doing X and would be happier if he allowed himself to do X more often

The psychological attacker says the defender's organization had made Claim 1 but the defender behaved in the manner described in Claim 2

If a failure was because of double think the game master can have the NPC repeat Claim 1 and Claim 2 both to the PC and then not act like he realized it was a contradiction by whatever he says next

If a failure was not because of double think the NPC can say something like so you were saying Claim 1 and what was the other thing you were saying?  Or what were the two points you were telling me again?  Or I forgot what you said.  Or I am sorry I was not paying attention.  Or you are boring me.  And so on

Cognitive Dissonance possible side effects can include but are not limited to

1 Becoming temporarily deaf to human speech and unable to visually read writing, unable to read braille through feeling and unable to visually comprehend sign language

2 Becoming partly or completely blind

3 Vomiting and not interested in hearing what people have to say but more concerned about the physical symptoms

4 Severe Headache or Dizziness and not interested in hearing what people have to say but more concerned about the physical symptoms

5 Violently attacking people

6 Turning off or putting down all communication devices and running away from any people trying to talk to you

7 Catatonia.  Rocking backing and forth not paying attention to anyone

8 Partial Paralysis or numbness of some body parts and not interested in hearing what people have to say but more concerned about the physical symptoms

9 The warning sign symptoms of a heart attack and not interested in hearing what people have to say but more concerned about the physical symptoms

10 Panic attack with hyperventilation and not interested in hearing what people have to say but more concerned about the physical symptoms

11 Refusing to talk to the person who told you the information again

12 Telling other people the person who told you the information is evil

13 Telling other people not to talk to the person who told you the information

14 Pretending not to be angry at the person who told you the information but plotting to get revenge later.  This can be by a violent surprise attack, or by getting other people to mistreat them or by destroying their items or some other means

15 Falling unconscious, feinting or swooning

16 Yelling and screaming non stop so loud they can not present further information.  Please do not really yell but simply say that is what the character is doing.

17 Hallucinations of a religious nature like Aliens or Angels and so on visiting them personally explaining or confirming that the organization is right all along sometime after the psychological attack the next time they talk to the characters.  This can also happen where they say this immediately even though the players clearly see nothing there yet the person is acting like it is happening right in front of them.  In this case they may even believe in the organization even more strongly after this experience.

18 Claim to have experienced miracles confirming they should put more faith in the organization sometime after the psychological attack the next time they talk to the player Characters.  This can also happen where they say this immediately even though the players clearly see nothing there yet the person is acting like it is happening right in front of them.  In this case they may even believe in the organization even more strongly after this experience.

IF

Attackers Die Roll < Minimal Successful Roll + Defenders Faith

THEN

Defender does not experience Double Think, nor cognitive dissonance and the psychological attack fails

IF

Minimal Successful Roll + Defenders Faith <=   Attackers Die Roll < Minimal Successful Roll + Defenders Faith + Double Think

THEN

Defender experience Double think but does not experience cognitive dissonance and the psychological attack roll fails

IF

Minimal Successful Roll + Defender's Faith + Double Think <=   Attacker's Die Roll < Minimal Successful Roll + Defender's Faith + Defender's Double Think + Defender's Cognitive Dissonance

THEN

Defender experience's cognitive dissonance and the psychological attack roll fails

IF

Minimal Successful Roll + Defender's Faith + Defender's Double Think + Defender's Cognitive Dissonance <= Attacker's die roll

THEN

The psychological attack roll succeeds

Faith

Faith is a detrimental proficiency meaning someone believes they should obey the moral code of a organization or believes they should obey a specific individual as a representative of a organization

Often player characters and non player Charecter will have separate faith proficiencies in multiple groups and sometimes even in individuals

There are six organizations people can have a faith proficiency in, The State, The Ladder, Neo-Paganism, Neo-Christianity, Judeo-Islam and the Alternative Order

There are many organizations that exist that people do not have a faith proficiency for such as The Actors Guild, Mind Power, The Secret Society and The Science Club

Members of the State call the Alternative Order by the name of Anarchists

There are three branches of the Alternative Order - Free Capitalists, Free Communists and Free Black Boxers

In addition to having faith in any of the six organizations people can also have faith in a specific Clergy member within Neo-Paganism, Neo-Christiianity or Judeo-Islam

All members of the Ladder have faith proficiency in a specific individual called a Sponsor who gives them orders in addition to a faith proficiency in the Ladder

In addition to having faith in the Alternative order someone can have a faith proficiency in any of the three branches of the alternative order

Faith and the four kinds of psychological attacks

Faith damaging attacks - These attacks try to reduce one specific faith proficiency

Faith building attacks - These try to increase one specific faith proficiency

Faith Converting attacks - These try to increase one specific faith proficiency and decrease another specific faith proficiency

Faith Commanding Attacks - These try to make someone do something out of obedience to a moral code or policy of a group they have at least one faith proficiency slot in

The first way to do  a faith converting attack faith can only be done when the target has at least 1 faith point in both groups

The first way to do a faith converting attack is to present information showing a contradiction between the moral codes or policies of two different groups or two different people the victim has allegiance to

The second way to do a faith converting attack does not require the target to have at least 1 faith point in the group the attacker is trying to get the target to build faith in but still requires at least 1 faith point in the target for the group the attacker is trying to reduce the targets faith in otherwise it would simply be treated as a faith building attack instead

The second way to do a faith converting attack is to present the information for a faith building attack for the one group and the information required for a faith damaging attack against the other group.  This can be done as a single action taking half as much time as doing both a faith building attack and a faith damaging attack.  The second way to do a faith converting attack usually requires three claims, two claims to show a contradiction for the faith damaging attack portion and one claim for the faith building portion.  A research or doctrine check normally only results in two claims or pieces of information.  But only one research, doctrine or bureaucracy check is required for the purpose of this type of faith converting attack,  The Doctrine or Research or Bureaucracy check will only be made for the group you are trying to decrease faith in and the other check for the group you are trying to increase faith in will be treated as a automatic success if the attacker has at least 1 point of Doctrine in the group they are trying to increase faith in so that the number of die rolls can be reduced.  It shall be assumed that it is much easier to find positive reviews about itself within a organization's publicly available material than to find contradictions in it.

Faith building Attacks and THE NAME of the attacker

There are two types of faith building attacks

The First Kind are faith building attacks that get someone to have faith in a organization - A successful attack increases someone's faith in that organization by 1 point and a failed attack does not

The Second Kind are faith building attacks that get someone who already has faith in a organization to have faith in THE NAME of a specific representative of a organization or a specific BRANCH of a organization- A successful attack increases someone;s faith in that representative or branch by 1 point and a failed attack does not

Someone can not do the Second Kind of faith building attack unless someone has at least 1 point of faith in the organization that the Attacker is representing

Three motives of a faith building attack

1 to get someone to have faith in your organization because you have been tricked into thinking your organization is good

2 to get someone to have faith in your organization or potentially later in yourself in order for you to control them

3 to get someone to have faith in a specific branch of your organization because you think it is more correct than the other branches

Only representatives of the organizations of The Ladder, Neo-Paganism, Neo-Christianity and Judeo-Islam can do psychological attacks to give someone faith in THEIR NAME on behalf of one of those organizations

Members of the Alternative Order however can do the Second Kind of faith building attack to convert someone to THEIR BRANCH of the Alternative Order

Faith Converting Attacks and THE BRANCH

In order to convert someone from one branch of the Alternative Order to another branch one is assumed to be able to get sufficient information about claims about both the Branch one is trying to increase faith in and the Branch one is trying to decrease faith in with a single doctrine check for Doctrine of the Alternative Order.

Faith Converting Attacks and THE NAME

A faith converting attack involving THE NAME of a representative of a organization can only easily be done by bargaining with the Actor's guild to spy on that person, or spying on that person yourself.  Unlike an organziation that has an unlimited amount of material to look through with Research a single representative of a organization distributes a finite amount of information.  The first step involving finding or creating information with Doctrine, Research or Bureaucracy is replaced with the step of spying on this person to find out information.  Once the information is found normal conversion attack rules apply.  In this case someone would use a conversion attack to try to reduce faith in one Representative's name within an organization and increase faith in another representative's name within the same organization.

Faith Damaging Attack's and THE NAME

If you can get someone to have 0 faith in the organization THE NAME represents then the person will no longer be able to be controlled by the NAME through faith command attacks to obey THE NAME.  That individual could still use faith command attacks to control that person to obey policies of another organization they still have faith in however.

Faith Building and faith commanding attacks do not require the victim to see a contradiction

Faith damaging and faith converting attacks require the victim to see a contradiction

Before presenting information in order to make a psychological attack the presenter must first know the information.

A faith damaging or faith converting attack requires the attacker to fail one double think check based on the attacker's double think proficiency and also succeed at one doctrine, bureaucracy or research check based on the attacker's proficiency in whichever of those three skills they are using before starting the psychological attack.  For the faith conversion attack if a doctrine check is made the lower of the attacker's two doctrine scores for the two groups involved will be used

If the attacker is talking to someone and wants to use research or bureaucracy they will have to literally leave the conversation, go and do research or paperwork for 4 hours and then come back again and hope the person is still available to talk to before doing a psychological attack unless they did the research or paperwork ahead of time

If someone is talking to someone and wants to use doctrine they do not have to end the conversation and come back to talk to them again because doctrine works instantly but is more limited

There are six types of doctrine skills based on the same six organizations someone can have faith in The Ladder, Neo-Paganism, Neo-Christianity, Judeo-Islam, The State and The Alternative Order

There are no separate Doctrine proficiencies for the specific Alternative Order Branches or for specific persons that someone can have a faith proficiency in

There is only one type of research proficiency

I would suggest that Research and Bureaucracy proficiency should only be gained through character creation or earning levels in the D&D WOJAC adaptation

Doctrine Proficiency can be gained every time someone is subject to a faith building or conversion attack and makes a successful intelligence check with modifiers.  If successful they will gain 1 slot of doctrine proficiency in the faith that attacker is trying to increase their faith proficiency in whether or not the psychological attack succeeds.

If the attacker is trying to get the victim to gain faith in the name of the attacker then a successful intelligence check with modifiers will enable the victim to gain 1 slot of doctrine proficiency in the organization ( Neo-Polytheism, Neo-Christianity or Judeo-Islam ) that the attacker is trying to get the victim to have faith in their name in as a clergy member of that organization or a point of doctrine in the Ladder if the person is trying to get them to have faith in their name as a member of the Ladder.   Only clergy and member's of The Ladder can get someone to have faith in their name.

If a member of the alternative order does a faith building or conversion attack to try to get someone to have faith in a specific branch of the alternative order then an intelligence check with modifiers can be made and if successful the person will gain 1 slot of doctrine in the alternative order in general and not in a specific branch of the alternative order.

Doctrine proficiency should not be possible to earn through gaining levels in the D&D WOJAC adaptation

Number of Doctrine slots during character creation

Number of Doctrine slots in the organizations of The State, Neo-Polytheism, Neo-Christianity and Neo-Islam

Player characters will start out with 1 point of doctrine in a organization for every 1 point of faith they have in those organizations during character creation, no more and no less.  Player characters who do not start out with faith slots in a organization do not start out with doctrine slots in that organization.

Number of doctrine slots in The Ladder.

Player Characters in the Ladder start out with an equal number of faith points in their sponsor and in their organization and start out with a total number of doctrine points equal to their faith in the sponsor plus their faith in the organization.  Player characters who do not start out in the ladder do not start out with any doctrine slots in The Ladder

Player Characters start with the following total number of proficiency slots in faith

6 to 15 faith proficiency slots in the State plus one and only one of the three listed religious organizations Neo-Polytheism, Neo-Christianity or Judeo-Islam.  With at Least 3 slots in The State and at Least 3 slots in the religious organization.  For every faith proficiency slot they have they get one beneficial proficiency slot in something else available at character creation

OR

6 to 12 proficiency slots in the State with no proficiency slots in any of the three listed religious organizations Neo-Polytheism, Neo-Christianity or Judeo-Islam

In addition should they choose to be members of The Ladder they can have 4, 6 or 8 faith slots in the ladder and an equal number of faith slots in their sponsor.  For every 2 faith slots they have in the Ladder they will gain 1 non player character follower who has 4 faith slots in the Ladder and 4 faith slots in the player Character's name.  They will start the game with 2, 3 or 4 followers.  Each of these followers do not have any followers themselves at the start of the game.  If they do not choose to be members of the ladder they do not have any faith slots in The Ladder nor any doctrine slots in the Ladder.  Player characters do not gain any beneficial proficiency slots in exchange for faith proficiency slots in the Ladder during character creation.

Player Characters can not start out with any faith nor doctrine slots in the Alternative Order.

A Doctrine check can not be made unless someone has at least 1 slot of doctrine proficiency

To check if the presenter knows information a doctrine check or research check is required

Doctrine checks are for instantly available information that is frequently said by organization members and frequently presented in organizational online written sources

Research checks are for information that takes a long time to find because it is rarely said by organization members and rarely on organizational online written sources

In each colony there is such a large number of humans and humans are always being recycled and created such that if someone was to try to start counting how many humans there were and stop once they never found a new person to count they would never stop counting.  These humans want things and will write policies to try to get what they want sometimes even if such policies contradict the usual tenets of a organization they are in but only to the degree that they can do so without being rehabilitated.

There are five organizations that both research and doctrine checks apply to the State, the Ladder, the Neo-Pagans, the Neo-Christians and Judeo-Islam.  A doctrine or research check can not be used for Mind Power or The Science Club because they have no moral codes or policies for member behavior.  Doctrine checks are used for the alternative order in general instead of for a specific branch of the alternative order.  There are no research checks available for the alternative order because they do not publish their material online and only teach it verbally or in forbidden disposable pamphlets made out of paper substitutes which either the person has read or has not read and players can not spend hours going through such pamphlets at a library when no such library of forbidden books exists in WOJAC.  Doctrine or research checks can not be used for The Secret Society because it does not have records available to the public on electronic forums and NPC members of The Secret Society do not actually believe in doctrine but only believe in sadism in spite of having religious initiation rituals.  A doctrine or research check is used before making a psychological attack but Non Player Charecters who are members of the secret society are immune to psychological attacks because they feel no guilt or remorse for breaking moral codes.

Because of this the amount of written information is effectively unlimited in the sense that no matter how much time someone spends reading the information they will have never read it all.

Any claim the researcher wants about group policy or about factual reality can be found published by a group with enough research with some exceptions

Claims that a claim maker claiming would result in the claim maker being sent to rehabilitation can not be found with a research check.

Claims that directly state that people should not obey the State or that Job creation should be stopped would result in rehabilitation and can not directly be found by research.  But if there is one policy that contradicts another policy it could potentially be found by research as long as the policy does not directly say that you should disobey the State or stop the job creation process or anything else that might result in the claim maker being sent into rehabilitation for saying.

Claims as bizzarre as Judeo-Islam allows me to eat pork or Judeo-Islam requires me to eat pork can be found with a research check but claims like Judeo-Islam forbids me from Obeying the State can not be found with a research check

Two different contradictory claims like one claim that The State requires me to wear red and a second claim that The State forbids me from wearing red can be found using a research check.  But direct claims like I should disobey the State can not be found using a research check.

Historical claims can not be found by a research check except for certain types of mythological history

Keeping track of historical events that happened more than 192 hours ago is forbidden and would result in being sent to rehabilitation with the exception of religious mythology.  But in religious mythology in WOJAC no times and dates are given other than the vague a really long time ago.  Acceptable religious mythology in WOJAC can also include claims by atheists or other groups not thought of as religious about how the world came to be or how humans came to exist, as long as these stories are said in such a way that enough people will perceive the stories to promote Job Creation, existence of The State and compliance to The State.  Research can not find the type of mythological claims that would send someone to rehabilitation for making.

Claims that authorize or forbid a specific person or team of people by name to do something or access some special equipment or location can not be found by research

Claims that someone should disobey someone who outranks them in The Ladder can not be found using a research check on The Ladder.  But orders from a higher ranking member of the Ladder that contradict orders from a lower ranking member of the Ladder can be found using a research check.  The higher the rank of the member of the Ladder giving the orders the more difficult the research check should be.  My boss wants me to do X but my boss's boss does not want me to do X.

The further any claim found by research deviates from or contradict the typical doctrine taught by the group the more difficult these claims are are to find.  The more difficult the claims are to find the greater the penalty for a research check will be.

Once a claim is found by research it may gradually expire up until 8 days or more precisely 192 hours later after which it completely expires.  There is a minus 1 penalty for every day after the research has been found for using any claims found by research in a psychological attack.  That is the psychological attacker has a that penalty on their die roll.  Take the time since the person found the research than divide it by 24 hours and round down to the nearest integer to find the penalty.  So at 23 hours after discovering the research there is no penalty but after 47 hours there is a 1 point penalty and after 49 hours there is a 2 point penalty.

Instead of using a research check to find a policy a bureaucracy check can be used to create a policy.  If someone wished to mention the existence of a policy so that it can be used to point out a contradiction in a psychological attack someone can simply make the policy instead of finding it.  A bureaucracy check may land the person in temporary rehabilitation if they are show to have created a policy such as you should disobey The State or Jobs should not be created.

When using bureaucracy to create a policy for Neo-Polytheism, Neo-Christianity, The Ladder or Judeo-Islam or the State if your bureaucracy score is greater than your Doctrine score then you only use the number of proficiency slots in your doctine score for that group instead of your bureaucracy score.

A bureaucracy check can not be used by the player characters who do not have the invention power to access equipment that can only be made with an invention power.

Each bureaucracy check takes about 4 hours to attempt.

Researching a claim takes about 4 hours per attempt

Finding a claim by a doctrine check is instant and does not take any time away from the players actions

A doctrine, bureaucracy or research check allows player characters to find or create up to 2 policies or claims made by one organization per use.  The difficulty level will be assigned based on whichever claim has the highest difficulty.  This is because 2 contradictory policies or claims need to be used for some psychological attacks and this will reduce the number of dice rolls.  A claim refers to a claim an organization makes about mythology, theology or the nature of reality where as a policy refers to a moral code prescribed by an organization.

Doctrine of a group should be possible to learn simply by attending group meetings but research and bureaucracy should be made difficult skills to obtain.

Whether or not a double think check is required before a psychological attack

If the information presented in a psychological attack involves a claim about a contradiction then the person presenting the information can not present that information unless the presenter first fails a double think proficiency or skill check based on their own double think proficiency.

For psychological attack die rolls

In order to reduce the number of dice rolls so a separate dice roll is not required for each defense mechanism, I decided to fit fear as a potential cognitive dissonance reaction instead of a separate defense mechanism and to treat double think as a difficulty modifier.  in order to reduce the number of dice rolls.   A certain number must be rolled in order to succeed in presenting information before cognitive dissonance is considered.  Wisdom will substitute for representing psychological or mental willpower in the WOJAC dungeons and dragons modification.  The higher the wisdom is the higher that number will be.

The more credible the argument is the lower that number will be and the less credible that argument is the higher the number will be.  If a die roll gets less than that number then the person will not experience cognitive dissonance but the presentation of information will fail.  If a die roll equals or exceeds that number but exceeds it by a quantity less than the number of points of cognitive dissonance then the person will experience cognitive dissonance and the presentation of information will have failed.  If the die roll is greater than or equal to number plus cognitive dissonance than the information presentation will succeed and the target will not experience cognitive dissonance.

If someone is presenting information

The system of stun points, psychological health points and hit points being separate are inspired by the split of fatigue vs health in arena and daggerfall in the elder scrolls series and the difference between stun and physical damage in shadowrun although stun points are not like fatigue in that you do not receive them by exercising harder.  It should be noted that psychological armor class which was inspired by mental armor class would be different than mental armor class if psionics are implemented because even though it might often be the same quantity it is used to calculate how to defend against psychological and hypnotic attacks which are not psionic and not to defend against psionic attacks.

WOJAC is a a fictional multiverse

I think the concept of a multiverse is kind of stupid because if a universe is meant to contain all things than there can not be more than one universe.  If there were said to be multiple universes that compose a single multiverse than the set of all the things labeled as universes combined would be a single universe therefor in a sense there could be no such thing as a multiverse composed of multiple universes.  But I will describe WOJAC as a multiverse anyway for various reasons.

WOJAC will be composed of multiple colonies and each colony will be in it's own "plane of existence" or dimension.  Not a 2 dimensional plane but a plane in the sense used in dungeons and dragons and other fantasy genre works of fiction.  In a science fiction writing style each plane would be called a different dimension or parallel universe within a multiverse.  "Plane" in fantasy can overlap with "parallel universe" or dimension in science fiction.  These might also be called dimensional pockets in both fantasy and science fiction.

I do not believe extra spatial dimensions are currently at the present time good ideas in terms of physics or mathematics for real life application because we only observe things in three orthogonal ( perpendicular ) translational spatial dimensions in real life  and only have three spatial orthogonal dimensions for rotation in real life and no distance or angle has ever has been measured of a real life object in a fourth spatial translational or angular dimension using units like inches or degrees that are used to measure real life three dimensional spaces translational distances or angles.

In statistics there are four types of values nominal, ordinal, integer and ratio.  I believe it can be good to make mathematical based models for how things would move using units ratio values of distance units like inches or angles like degrees in more than four spatial orthogonal dimensions so one could know how that might be measured if such a thing was found to exist in real life but so far no such thing has been found and measured in credible and legitimate real life physics that is widely available and accessible for the public to examine and scrutinize.  Sometimes talk of such things as additional spatial dimensions being found in physics appears on documentaries using mumbo jumbo language where spatial unit measurements of real life objects in more than three spatial dimensions are never mentioned but these documentaries should not be called credible.

Fiction where someone can touch a glass of water to drink the water and then put it down on the table then phase through a wall in in one room with the door between the room and the hallway still closed without touching or interacting with the wall and then go straight into the hallway outside that room and then touch and interact with the light switch turning the lights on or off might involve someone displacing them self a translational distance in a fourth spatial dimension twice once when they travel outside the room and a second time when they want to be able to touch objects again.  And in such a case they could not walk on the floor to travel but would have to hover or fly or levitate to get from the room to the hallway unless the floor was a little thicker in the fourth dimension than the wall perhaps in which case they could walk on the floor and sidestep the wall where it is thin in the fourth spatial dimension.  I am not claiming people are traveling in these extra spatial dimensions in this sense when they go from one colony to another in this fictional setting.

Plane or extra dimension are not meant in the same sense used in physics but in the sense used in science fiction.  These planes are not extra spatial dimensions but different locations that could not even be traveled to moving a distance or rotating in a fourth spatial dimension.  It would be more like if you had files on a computer program representing blueprints for different three dimensional objects and each plane of existence would be a different file, with each file representing a different object where one file might be the shape of a spoon and another file be the shape of a fork or dull table knife for spreading butter.  Or a computer game where you move around a character in three dimensional reality and a character can only be in one level at a time where no matter how you move around a character on a level it does not effect their coordinates on another level because they only have coordinates on a level they are on.  Even though one level might be claimed to be the second floor of a tower, in a real life tower you could measure how far someone on the first floor of the tower is from a location on the second floor but not in some games.  Each of these levels would have different nominal values or ordinal numbers assigned to represent them but the distances between objects within a level would have ratio or integer values of quantities of distance units between them or at least of units meant to simulate distance.

Each colony inside it;s own parallel universe in WOJAC is not a computer simulated reality.  The matter in each colony in WOJAC that colonists interact with is real physical matter that was created or generated by a black box.

Spatial Cartography of WOJAC

Each colony seems to only have three spacial dimensions of translation and three spatial dimensions of rotation when traveling between any two places that are a short distance apart from each other close enough to be visible by the human eye.  At that distance things operate on Euclidean geometry and not Riemannian geometry.

But no matter how far one travels any distance within a colony one can not travel to another colony except by being inside of or outside of and close by a train at the time it teleports from one colonies plane to another colonies plane.  The train is designed to appear to travel from one colony to another by normal means according to Euclidean geometry but actually simply teleports to train tracks going to another colony once it is far enough away from the colony's city that no one can see it.

The colony is composed of a city with a giant primary black box inside it, a wilderness outside the city and train tracks that go into the wilderness.  Traveling an unlimited distance on the train tracks in the wilderness without riding the train will never get you from one colony to another as long as the train is not passing nearby you.  However if someone is standing nearby the train in the wilderness when it transports people to a colony in another dimension that person will be transported to the dimension the other colony is in and may not even know it.  They would see the train continue on the train tracks not realizing those train tracks are identical looking train tracks but in another dimension.  The wilderness nearby the train tracks in the dimension of the two different colonies will be similar to one another.  The wilderness can change drastically from one biome to another such as from a forest to a desert but the sections near the train tracks for both of the colonies linked together will change simultaneously to be the same type of biome if people are observing them.  However the wilderness in one colony will not effect the wilderness in another colony if it is in an area that is not nearby train tracks that have the illusion of over lapping between both colonies or appearing to link them together.

Normal travel rules for three dimensional Euclidean geometry apply when traveling between any two points within eyesight distance of each other but trying to reach a destination that you thought was a certain distance on a straight line from another destination can take a much longer or shorter amount of travel time than it should at the speed you are traveling.  The entire geography of the world changes especially when people are not observing it but sometimes much more rarely even when they are.

Someone could think they are leaving the Colony town and end up traveling in a straight line for hours then suddenly end up facing right toward the town they thought they left.  The only exception where such a thing could not happen is if they are walking in the same direction and maintaining view of train tracks to a mother or daughter colony

People have tried burying stuff and leaving markers on points in the wilderness near train tracks because of this but the markings sometimes disappear when they leave and the buried objects sometimes are gone not as though someone dug up the burial site but as though the ground was never dug up to bury anything at that location to begin with.  But other times buried objects can be found at what seems to be the same location or somewhere totally different that was not where they were originally buried.

The amount of time traveling between two places in the wilderness that are farther than the eye can see is not based on the distance between them but based on a person's wilderness navigation skill and on whether or not the places still exist anymore and can be found at all.

The geography of the city within the colony is always changing because in order to create jobs people are ordered to build new buildings and then tear down buildings some of which were only built yesterday.  As such a Urban navigation skill check is needed to find buildings or locations within the city.  The time it takes to reach any place in the city that you can not see with your eye is not the distance between two places but based on your Urban Navigation Skill and whether or not the buildings or locations still exist.  Even the giant black box in the center of the city might be difficult to find when so many of the buildings around it change location and who is to say it really is in the center all the time anyway when the edges of the city change spots.  Even the train tracks toward the mother colony are not immediately easy to find with the buildings moving.  Even though those train tracks are used as a landmark for a sense of direction, since they can not always be found when other objects block your view of them there is no clear sense of direction.

Magnetic compasses would not work for consistent direction of North and South in any colony

And the sun is wacky and would not give you a consistemt East and West in the colonies even though there is sunrise and sunset

Six directions people use to describe locations in any colony are

Up

Down

The direction the train travels on it's way to the mother colony : Train track wise or Positive Train

90 degrees to the right of Positive train : Right of train or train right

180 degrees to the left or right of positive train : Anti train or Negative Train

90 degrees to the left of positive train : Left of train or train left

They also use local directions of my right or left or your right or left

The giant primary black box inside the colony creates the city, wilderness and train or trains and train tracks for the colony itself.  The primary black box does not move

If they did manage to destroy the colonies black box it would essentially be suicide the ground they stand on would eventually no longer exist, there would eventually be no city, no wilderness and no source of food and water.  Material reality would slowly decay or deteriorate or disappear and would not be replaced. Ground would crumble under them and there would be nowhere to even experience a fatal hard landing on.  Gravity might cease to function after falling less than one mile anyway once they got far enough down discovering that the ground they were standing on might have been less than one mile deep.

But they can not destroy black boxes because if they try they will be consumed by it.  Any projectile they attack it with would be consumed by it without damaging it.  Any melee weapon or tool they attack it with would be consumed by it without damaging it.  And if they themselves attack it with their own body their body will be consumed by it and it might just spit out a different human to replace them or it might not.

Humans have no gender or race in this world.  3 humans are created by putting, 2 humans in the black box and adding organic and inorganic material collected from the wilderness into it.  Black boxes genetically scramble and mix up the DNA from the 2 humans put into it to create 3 humans and they may sometimes use genetic code from other previous humans put into it in past times when manufacturing new humans.  Black boxes may transfer memory or personality from the lives of previous humans.  They seem to remove memory of the previous world from humans when they do so however.

The previous world is earth in the distant future.  Technology has become so advanced that matter can simply be generated much like a start trek holodeck.  The pope at one time was John Saul Muhammad who was a Roman Catholic with a Jewish mother making him Jewish and a muslim father making him a Muslim.  John Saul Muhammad had as ecumenical council in which he invites everyone from the most influential religious denominations.  They decide that the one true purpose of religion is that people should obey the State.  That there should be one State instead of many governments in order to end wars.  And that the State should manage the unemployment crisis created by the existence of holodecks.  A 100% income tax is proposed as a means to create jobs.  Corporations will receive large amounts of funding by the State put into a corporate bank account at the beginning of each day and in exchange the state will take 100% of the money out of the the corporate bank account at the end of each day.  Employee payments from corporation can only be paid electronically into a bank account and that State takes 100% of the money that is in that bank account out of the bank account at the end of each day.  Restaurants become very trendy as a law is passed forbidding anyone from storing more than 2 meals worth of food at their place of residence per person at a time in order to stimulate employment.  People essentially need to spend the money they earn to eat on food fast.  Any one who wants to can start their own corporation at any time with the proper paperwork.  People who are picky about how they want customer service or what type of food they like to eat tend to create lots of small restaurant businesses.  People often not create corporations to earn money anymore but because they want to decide how things are managed and be able to make a little more choice in life.  Unfortunately choice is not something they are going to get because employees at a restaurant will vote about how that restaurant is managed.  The person who creates a restaurant will act more as a restaurant voting moderator then a restaurant manger.

Some people really did not like this system.  They thought they should just use their holodecks to create food instead of working at restaurants.  The punishment for unemployment was decided at the ecumenical council to be banishment to a prison in "another dimension" where they can be forced to work like they should.  They have not yet eliminate race or gender on earth but have decided that these pioneers of a new world have volunteered to eliminate race and gender for them as part of a new social experiment.  They invented a holodeck 2.0 which is a black box that consumes anything put into it and teleports it to another black box in another dimension.  This other dimension would contain nothing but very low density Hydrogen gas of uniform temperature pressure and density of lower pressure and density than any vacuum ever artificially created or naturally found by scientists on earth forever in all directions with less light or heat in it than any such vacuum known to humankind.  The only thing that would break the monotony would be a single black box somewhere in it that would create an entire new world and would generate artificial gravity, weather, light, heat, and matter and any other physical parameters and the laws of physics itself in whatever pattern it so desired or was programmed to.  The black box was instructed to make sure things were run democratically and that people should be made to work a lot of hours every day.  It was also instructed that the purpose of work was not that people should get food but that the purpose of people getting food was so that they can work, because without food people would die and dead people do not work long hours.  The black boxes could be the key to no one having ever to work again because they generate the source of matter itself, but they can never be used that way because their prime directive is to get people to work.  They will not work people to death, because dead people can not work, but they are designed to have people live lives perpetually as close to death as possible, not to make them suffer but to make them work.  At that they grabbed the unemployed and stuffed them into the black box on earth banishing them to a new colony in what they called a new world in another dimension.  The people popped out of the black box with their bodies rearranged to be without race or gender and part of their memory wiped away.  Some especially cruel people who actually were employed and not forced to imprisonment intentionally volunteered to be sent to this other dimension to monitor other people for the sheer enjoyment of control.  Their memory was also partly wiped clear so they could not remember the previous world but to a lesser extent so they could still remember their sadistic management plans.  They agreed to make up a story that the colony was started as travel in a rocket ship instead of banishment to another dimension.  In reality no rocket ship sent from earth's no matter how far it traveled in any direction could ever reach any of these colonies.

These people created a foundation similar to the freemasons only evil.  Whether or not the freemasons are evil is not being claimed here, only that this organization is evil and that it copied some aspects of the freemasons.  It was to be a publicly visible exclusive membership club that keeps information private or secret from non members.  This might be called a secret society even though it's existence is public.  It would monitor all the other religious organizations and make up religious organizations based on the previous religions on earth only evil to control people.  It would have worship of a deity that sounds similar to both the words "State" and "Satan"

They shoved them into a black box.  It ground up their body and recreated a new one in another dimension.

Black boxes can consume any matter put into them and rearrange that matter and spit out new matter.

Black boxes also tabulate the voting system.

All colonies have one and only one mother colony.  But not all colonies have daughter colonies.  All mother colonies have at least two daughter colonies.

The players start in a colony that has no daughter colonies.  If they go to that colonies mother colony and were than to go to the mother colony of the mother colony and keep on traveling to each colonies mother colony, they would never find a colony without a mother colony no matter how many rimes they traveled to the next colonies mother colony.

I will compare WOJAC with AD&D 2nd edition but not in order to give permission to make a WOJAC version of AD&D 2nd edition only to show how it would have to be different in order to suggest how it would modify other versions of Dungeons and Dragons I am less familiar with that would have open gaming licenses.

If the WOJAC skill game mechanic was used in Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition the word "skill" would be replaced with the phrase of "Weapon proficiency" or "Non Weapon Proficiency"

In Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition player characters gain experience by defeating enemies in combat and then after gaining enough experience they gain levels.  After gaining multiple levels in a class they gain one weapon  proficiency and one non weapon weapon proficiency after gaining a possibly different number of levels in a class.

It is possible to give player characters experience points for achieving success at goals while avoiding combat in Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition but usually most experience points tend to be earned through combat.

WOJAC does not fit Dungeons and Dragons well because of the emphasis of physical combat in order to gain levels in order to gain proficiencies in Dungeons and Dragons

One modification would be that certain very specific non weapon proficiencies would not be gained through gaining levels through fighting

The following non weapon proficiencies would be gained through exposure to groups and would occur with a greater number of proficiency sluts than other non weapon proficiencies

Faith - This is a detrimental proficiency that characters receive automatically as part of being in a group or potentially as a side effect of an indoctrination attack at a group meeting

Doctrine - Every time someone receives an indoctrination attack or conversion attack to try to get them to believe in a group they have a chance to gain proficiency or more proficiency in doctrine of that group.  The higher their intelligence the more likely they are to learn the doctrine.

The following are non weapon proficiencies that every character would have multiple slots in upon creation and that usually do not increase or decrease during game play unless slots are paid to remove them

Double Think -  For every three slots of double think player characters can choose to get one useful non weapon proficiency slot at the start of the game.  Player Characters must take at least three slots and can take no more than 15 slots.  Three double think slots maybe removed later in the game at the cost of one useful non weapon proficiency slot.

Cognitive Dissonance - For every slot of cognitive dissonance player charecters may choose to get one useful non weapon proficiency slot at the start of the game.  One cognitive dissonance slot maybe removed later in the game at the cost of one useful non weapon proficiency slot.

Another modification might be a larger percent of experience points would have to be earned through means other than physical combat than in Dungeons and Dragons or at least through non lethal physical combat

Another modification might be gaining experience levels through winning psychological combat

In WOJAC the emphasis is totally different than in Dungeons and Dragons.  The WOJAC system is designed to emphasize rewards for avoiding physical combat.

In Dungeon and Dragons people can normally choose to do a non lethal attack.  In WOJAC non lethal attacks are usually not an option with piercing or slashing weapons.  In WOJAC when characters choose to do non lethal damage to other characters a separate category of stun points will be used instead of hit points.  This is because some classes of people are particularly used to being tortured and also because it is unrealistic to think you can do non lethal damage with piercing or slashing weapons.  Although it is also unrealistic to think you can do non lethal damage with blunt weapons it is less unrealistic than with piercing and slashing weapons.  In WOJAC an assumption is used that most combat is non lethal because "the State" likes to keep people alive for slave labour which will not be called slave labor but instead job creation.  People are also kept alive so they can be psychologically experimented on and or tortured in rehabilitation centers.  In WOJAC murdering someone can have a penalty of lifetime permanent psychological rehabilitation.  Although it is not entirely realistic many weapons will do stun damage and knocking someone to 0 stun points puts them at a State where they can no longer fight and usually be captured unless maybe you turn your back on them and forget to pay attention.  It is assumed that special weapons are designed for stunning people instead of killing them in WOJAC technology.  If D&D weapons are used than piercing and slashing weapons will usually damage hit points but with blunt weapons people can choose if they damage hit points or stun points.  In WOJAC it is usually easier to kill someone than to stun them but killing someone instead of stunning them may ruin your life.

Monsters will usually be assumed to have one and a half to two times as many stun points as hit points and to be immune to psychological and hypnotic attacks unless they can communicate in human language.  They will have more stun points than hit points because it is assumed someone has to choose to attack less hard with a weapon to try to stun someone than to try to kill them.

An exception might be made for very fragile animals or fragile people where if you go over and send someone into negative stun points then hit points will be damaged equal to the number of stun points below zero and these fragile people or animals can be given less stun points than hit points where you have to be careful not to accidentally kill them.  This rule might  apply to animals that weigh less than 20 pounds.

Piercing and Slashing or bladed Weapons usually can not be used to damage stun points but only to damage hit points but exceptions can be made through creative attacks in which the person attacks another object that stuns the victim instead of attacking the victim themselves like cutting a rope holding an object so that it lands on someone or lands in front of someone causing them to trip instead of cutting the person directly.

In WOJAC ranged stun damage can be done but only with ranged weapons that are designed to be non lethal, although most weapons in WOJAC that are meant to be weapons are designed to be non lethal.  Impromptu weapons like a knife used for slicing vegetables that was not intended to be used as a weapon by the kitchen staff could very will be lethal.

Depending on the technology and magical level of the civilization in WOJAC the ranged stun weapons maybe different.

To hit bonus - is a bonus that improves the chance of a successful hit in physical or psychological combat using a 20 sided die and should not be confused with a damage bonus

A character that reaches zero psychological health points can have their mind susceptible to psychological programming or deprogramming.  This is not the same as Psionic Strength Points having the mind susceptible to psychological programming is not the same as being open to telepathic psionic attacks.

A character that reaches at or below zero hit points is dead or unconscious

A character that reaches at or below zero stun points is unable to physically fight and may have difficulty moving or be unable to move

Hit point bonus per level is from constitution

Stun point bonus per level is from the average of wisdom and constitution rounded up

Psychological Health Points point bonus per level is from wisdom

Psychological Armor Class = 10 + wisdom bonus

Psychological Armor Class is used to defend against psychological attacks and hypnosis attacks but not used to defend against magic or psionic attacks

There are four types of psychological attacks Doctrine Attacks, Conversion Attacks, Indoctrination Attacks and Doctrine Commands

When a psychological attack is made the attacker gets to declare they will attack for X points of psychological damage before they do the rolling.  For every 1 point of psychological damage they choose to do there is a 1 point penalty to hit for the psychological attack.

If someone is at zero psychological health points they can not become negative.  If they have more than zero health points but less than the number of damage points declared they will have zero attack points after the attack but the attack will not achieve the implanted programming effect.  If they have zero psychological health points when attacked than one implanted programming effect will be achieved per successful attack.

An implanted programming effect is the following

Doctrinal Attack - Minus 1 faith in the specific group, if faith becomes zero they are free from control by that group

Indoctrination Attack - Plus 1 faith in the specific group

Doctrinal Commands- Any faith greater than zero means the individual can be controlled through doctrinal commands involving faith in members of that group and or faith in that group's teachings.  Someone can only implant a single doctrinal command to do something in alignment with the teaching of that group.  The person who receives that command is obligated to obey it.  The more powerful the command in terms of it's effect on the behavior the more difficult a psychological attack roll should be required.  The more the person dislikes the kind of action requested the more difficult the roll should be and the more the person likes the kind of action the easier the roll should be.

In order to know something is taught by a group a doctrine check is used for obvious matters that run with typical practice but a bureaucracy check is required to find or create hidden teachings that run opposite to typical practice.  A doctrine check can be done with no prior preparation but a bureaucracy check requires research ahead of time.  Whatever the usual group policy is, it is possible to find other policies that are the exact opposite made by the group, or at least to get someone official to post them in the electronic group official publications.  The more contrary to the typical way of things the more difficult the bureaucracy check.

 DOCTRINE ATTACKS

A doctrine attack is when someone is told their actions or beliefs do not line up with their faith with the goal of reducing their faith to set them free from control by a group they have faith in.  The Doctrine bonus applies to the attackers knowledge of the defenders specific faith belief system.

IF

Psychological Armor Class + Double think bonus + Faith < Dice Roll + Psychological To hit bonus + Doctrine <= Psychological Armor Class + double think + cognitive dissonance

THEN

the target experiences cognitive dissonance and does not lose faith points nor suffer psychological health damage

IF

Psychological Armor Class + Double Think + Faith > Dice Roll + Psychological to hit bonus

THEN

the target does not experience cognitive dissonance and does not lose faith points nor suffer psychological health damage

IF

Dice Roll + Psychological To hit bonus + Doctrine >= Psychological Armor Class + double think + cognitive dissonance + Faith

THEN

the target experience psychological attack point damage or if they have 0 psychological health points left then they lose 1 point of faith for each successful attack.  If they have more than 0 psychological health points but a psychological attack does more damage than the number of psychological health points they have left then they will have 0 psychological health points and lose no points of faith.  If someone has 0 points of faith left then they are free from control by the group they have faith in.

CONVERSION ATTACKS

Conversion attacks against someone to change to a new faith that conflicts with their current faith

The following faiths are hostile to each other in WOJAC

Neo-Christianity, JudeoIslam and Neo-Polytheism are incompatible with each other and any attempt to persuade someone of any of these faiths to believe in another one is automatically treated as a conversion attack.

The following faiths can potentially co-exist

Faith in "The Ladder"  and "The State" can co-exist with faith in all the other religious groups within the mind of an individual

Faith in the Science Group can co-exist with faith in all other groups except the Mentalist Group within the mind of an individual

Faith in the Mentalist Group can co-exist with faith in all other groups except the Science Group within the mind of an individual

Attempting to persuade someone who believes in one faith to have more faith in another religion it can co-exist with is not treated as a conversion attack but a indoctrination attack

But telling someone one of these faiths they believe in is inconsistent with another faith they believe in is a conversion attack

For example telling a Neo-Christian who also has faith in the later that they should have more faith in neo-Christianity or the ladder is not a conversion attack.  But telling them Neo-Christianity and the Ladder are not compatible and they should have more faith in one group and less faith in the other is a conversion attack

The Doctrine bonus applies to the attackers knowledge of the defenders current belief system that the attacker is trying to reduce the defenders faith in

IF

Psychological Armor Class + Double think bonus + Current Faith < Dice Roll + Psychological To hit bonus + Doctrine <= Psychological Armor Class + double think + cognitive dissonance + Current Faith

THEN

the target experiences cognitive dissonance and does not lose faith points nor suffer psychological health point damage

IF

Psychological Armor Class + Double Think + Current Faith >= Dice Roll + Psychological to hit bonus + Doctrine

THEN

the target does not experience cognitive dissonance and does not lose faith points nor suffer psychological health point damage

IF

Dice Roll + Psychological To hit bonus + Doctrine >= Psychological Armor Class + double think + cognitive dissonance + Current Faith

THEN

the target experience psychological health point damage or if they have 0 psychological health points left then they lose 1 point of faith in their current group but gain 1 point of faith in the new group for each successful attack.  If they have more than 0 psychological health points but a psychological attack does more damage than the number of psychological health points they have left then they will have 0 psychological health points and lose no points of faith.  If someone has 0 points of faith left in the current group then they are free from control by the current group but are now controlled by or more strongly controlled by the new group.

INDOCTRINATION ATTACKS

Indoctrination attacks occur when someone tries to persuade someone to have faith or have more faith in a group and when the attack is not classified as a conversion attack.

Classes if WOJAC is made to fit a dungeon and dragon open game license type system

Character classes would have to be different and would be based on what clubs, groups or organizations the charecter has membership in or what occupations they do.  WOJAC is generally designed for a low magic or no magic world, but it could still work in a high magic world provided the detrimental skills are included in the mechanics but they would be called detrimental proficiencies instead of detrimental skills if made to fit in a Dungeons and Dragons open game system.  Character classes would be different based on if played in a no or low magic or high magic modified version of a dungeon and dragon system and on whether or not a psionic system is used.

All Classes get a bonus based on their Charisma for psychological attacks

Spy - These are thought police, they would have skills similar to rogues in order to spy on people without being seen and to find dissenters.  They would be good at creating and tracking coded language ciphers in online forums or in face to face speech.  They would be good at pretending to join a group they sincerely do not want to be a part of and at disguising themselves as fake identities.  They would be good at creating non lethal traps and getting bonuses at non lethal sneak attacks in urban environments.  They can disguise as other individuals than themselves in both group forums and face to face meetings.

Additional +1 to hit bonus per spy level for physical combat on any surprise attack when successfully disguised as an in group member or when successfully engaging in stealth skills.  Only applies on the first attack but can apply to later attacks if they can hide or change identity and attack again later.

Any damage bonuses they would get for surprise attacks can apply to do stun damage with stun weapons

+1 bonus to hit per spy level on psychological combat as long as successfully disguised as an in group member for both face to face and group forum psychological combat.  Spies can not impersonate multiple opposing groups at the same time.  They can not impersonate Judeo-Islam, Neo-Christianity or Neo-Polytheism at the same time but can only choose one of the three groups to impersonate being a member of at a time.

+1 to hit in both physical combat and psychological combat every 3 levels when not using stealth and not in disguise as a group in member

Saving throw proficiencies : Dexterity, Charisma

4 hit points per level

6 stun points per level

8 psychological health points per level

Track Persons - These would be similar to rangers and have similar abilities to rogues when used in wilderness environments.  They would hunt down people who are trying to hide in the wilderness to escape the city and work with animal management.  They would be good at creating non lethal traps and getting bonuses at non lethal sneak attacks in wilderness environments.  It is easier for them to get permission to have rations to go to the wilderness under the justification they need to travel to hunt down dissidents who escaped the city.

Saving throw proficiencies : Constituition, Dexterity

+1 bonus per level on any skill or proficiency check involving trying to find people hiding in the wilderness

+ 2 bonus to hit every 3 levels in physical combat

Additional + 2 bonus to hit every 3 levels on a one time surprise attack in physical combat in wilderness settings when successfully using stealth skills.  They can do the surprise attack again if they manage to hide again and attack at a much later time similar to the restrictions for spies.

+1 bonus to hit every 3 levels on psychological attacks

6 hit points per level

8 stun points per level

4 psychological health points per level

In a high magic or psionic system they would possess the ability to use magic or psionics to track people in the wilderness or nature related magic only

Cinematic Illusionists -  Their job would be to make propaganda films.  They could be similar to the illusionist specialist wizards only using technological movie magic instead of actual magic in a no magic world but could use actual magic to do propaganda in a high magic world.  They are good at creating fake incidents that effect what people on group forums think.  They do not wage psychological warfare in group forums in the same way that bureaucrats do.  A bureaucrat would use a law to get people to do what they want but a cinematic illusionist would fake a Godzilla attack at a location and post about it on a group forum if they do not want people to enter a certain building.

Saving throw proficiencies : Intelligence, Wisdom

+1 bonus to hit every 3 levels on physical and normal psychological attacks

Possess the ability to do psychological operations that function similar to a spell mechanism instead of doing normal psychological attacks

4 hit points per level

4 stun points per level

8 psychological health points per level

Security Persons - These would basically be similar to fighters.  They would specialize in beating up dissidents with non lethal weapons and taking them into rehabilitation centers.  They are experts at both lethal and non lethal physical combat but people in WOJAC usually choose only to use non lethal physical combat.  Although incredibly weak in defending against and doing psychological attacks under normal circumstances they are incredibly resistant to them once put into physical combat.

Saving throw proficiencies : Constitution, Strength

8 hit points per level

12 stun points per level

4 psychological health points per level

+1 bonus to hit per level on physical attacks

+1 bonus to hit every three levels on psychological attacks

When rolling initiative they can declare that they are in attack mode even if someone else would act first according to the roll.  If they are in attack mode they will not listen to anything anyone says and are immune to psychological and hypnotic attacks.  If they declared they are in attack mode then they must attack someone with physical attacks once it is their turn to act or lose their immunity.

In a high magic or psionic world security persons may have magic or psionic powers that are combat related or designed to incapacitate people, but no other type of magic or psionic powers as part of their class.

Rehabilitationists -  These would specialize in mind effecting drugs and physical and psychological torture.  They would have powers similar to alchemists or dark sun bards except they would manufacture mind effecting drugs instead of poisons or potions.  They do not use drugs to heal people unlike the medics they work with.  They would be good at interrogating people for information.  They are experts in face to face psychological combat.

Saving throw proficiencies : Constitution, Charisma

4 hit points per level

12 stun points per level

8 psychological health points per level

+2 bonus to hit with face to face psychological attacks per  level when using torture

+1 bonus to resist torture per level

Their torture attack can be amplified if they work with a mentalist or also are mentalist who uses a hypnotic attack as described later but mentalists can also help people resist their torture attacks through hypnosis

+ 1 bonus to hit with face to face psychological attacks every other level when not equipped for torture

+ 1 bonus to hit for psychological attacks on group forums every three levels

+ 1 bonus to hit every three levels with physical attacks

Clergy - These people would have the power to control crowds of people in whatever religion they claim to be clergy of.  They are experts in face to face and group psychological combat against members of their own religion.

Clergy choose one and only one of the following three faiths Neo-Christianity, Judeo-Islam or Neo-Polytheism

Saving throw proficiencies : Intelligence, Charisma

4 lethal hit points per level

4 stun points per level

12 psychological health points per level

+1 psychological attack per level when attacking members of their own faith

+ 1 psychological attack every three levels when attacking people who are not members of the faith they have chosen

Clergy have the special power of using indoctrination or conversion attacks to create "faith in _" insert clergy members name here instead of faith in a religious group if the victim is of the same religious group as the clergy.  If the victim already has faith in the name of another clergy member it will be treated as a conversion attack.  But if the victim does not have faith in the name of a clergy member yet then it will be treated as a indoctrination attack.  Once the clergy has knocked the victim down to 0 psychological health points he can add one point of faith in the clergy members name per successful attack.  If the person has faith in a different conflicting religious group than the clergy than he can use conversion attacks until he converts the person to his own religion then use his special attack to indoctrinate them with faith in his own name,  If the person is an Atheist he can use indoctrination attack to make him have faith in the clergy's selected religious group then use an indoctrination attack to make him have faith in the clergy's own name.

Once a clergy member has converted someone to faith in his name he can command him to do anything the clergy wants with a doctrinal command instead of anything in allignment with the religious group the clergy is in.  No bureuacracy or doctrine check are required because the person has faith in the clergy member not faith in the teaching of the group.

In a no magic world unlike in normal Dungeons and Dragons clergy might not specialize in healing, unless it is fake faith healing scams.  Whether or not faith healing is real in World Of Job Creation clergy could do fake faith healing to control people.  For example knocking partially blind people unconscious than sending them in for surgery to remove cataracts and not telling them it is surgery but telling them they were healed in a miracle.  Or making partially blind people lie and claim they were miraculously healed without surgery in exchange for surgery to remove cataracts.  Or having people who could walk all along get up out of wheelchairs and claim to be healed.

In a high magic world they could cast spells like a regular cleric in dungeons and dragons but would not be as good at healing magic as a medic.  In a no magic world the clergy would not be able to cast spells.  The Clergy's main focus in WOJAC is not magic but psychological control of a congregation.

Clergy may enjoy working with Mentalists or Cinematic Illusionists or Medics to fake miracles in both a high and no magic system.

Medic - These might use various methods to treat people's wounds who have been tortured in rehabilitation so they can be tortured again more.  As such they might be a class that can heal people's wounds to some degree.  In a low magic world they would use technology and in a high magic world they might use magic for healing.  They would not have as many types of spells available to them as clergy in a high magic world but would only access healing spells or spells that enhance health or physical attributes like strength.  They would be better at treating wounded people than clergy somehow.  Medics would be better at face to face psychological warfare than at group forum psychological warfare.  Medics know how psychological drugs work from watching Rehabilitationists but are not legally authorized to use them if they do not have Rehabilitationist as a second class.  Medics would not have the specialized ability to do psychological warfare against a specific religious group that clergy have.

8 hit points per level

8  stun points per level

8 psychological health points per level

+ 1 bonus to hit with psychological and physical attacks every 3 levels

Saving throw proficiencies : Wisdom, Constitution

Mentalists -  They can use hypnotic powers.

The hypnosis power is not magic nor psionics.  A telepathic psionic power such as a psionic attack or psionic telepathic message can be done without physical words or physical images over a distance simply through the mind telepathicly.  In order to do hypnosis on a subject for the first time a hypnotist must use spoken words, sign language words, or written words in a physical or electronic form to communicate to the subject the first time.  They can combine these words with a physical signal using one of the five senses and repeat the hypnotic incident using that same signal at a later time even without words present, if they succeeded on the hypnosis the first time, although using the signal requires a roll to see if it works each time it is used.  A hypnotic incident can be done using a group forum or other physical signal source at any range and not face to face only but a psionic power can only be done within the distance described for the psionic power.  When using a physical signal for a hypnosis power, it is usually repeated with exactly the same parameters as was used the first time with words and the parameters can not be adjusted.  An exception might be made if the words contained some instruction about how the intensity of the signal would control the parameters.  In such a case the hypnotist might be able to control the parameters by changing the intensity of the signal.  For example if a flash of light in a certain pattern was used.  If the hypnotist said the brighter or dimmer the light the stronger the effect or the faster or slower the light blinks the stronger the effect.  Or if a gong was used and the hypnotist said the higher or lower pitched or louder or quieter the tone the stronger the effect.  However in such a case the stronger the effect the more difficult the die roll should be just as it would be more difficult to have a stronger effect if they were using words to get the effect the first time.

A mentalist gains a +1 to hit bonus per level on a hypnosis incident attempt and an additional bonus to hit based on their charisma.   A mentalist gains a +1 bonus per level to their Psychological Armor Class but only for resisting hypnotic attacks from other mentalists and not for resisting normal psychological attacks, nor for resisting psionics, nor for resisting magic.

There are two types of hypnotic incidents.  Helpful hypnotic incidents and Hypnotic attacks.

A hypnosis attack does not require the person to be at 0 psychological health points to be subject to the hypnosis attack.  A hypnosis attack does not damage psychological health points.

If

Psychological Armor Class <= Dice Roll + Hit Bonus - Hit penalty

THEN

hypnosis Attack is successful

If

Psychological Armor Class > Dice Roll + Hit Bonus - Hit penalty

THEN

hypnosis Attack fails

A hypnosis attack can do any of the following

A hypnotist can do X non lethal damage to a target but has a 1 point penalty to hit for every point of non lethal damage they declare they will do on the hypnotic attack.  This attack can be a form of a positive hallucination or a unpleasant sensation of the hypnotists choice, that the player or dungeon / game master who is controlling the mentalist attacker can describe.

A hypnotist can cause the target to not feel attacks doing up to X points of non lethal and or lethal physical damage per round for Y rounds but has a penalty to hit of X times Y.  For example if they want to enable the person to not feel up to 4 points of damage per round for  3 rounds their would be a 12 point penalty on their roll.   The hypnotist can specify if this applies to lethal only, non lethal only or both lethal and non lethal damage.  If it applies to both the two types of damage are added together to see if they go over the total.  This is extremely dangerous because this can enable someone to be physically attacked without knowing they are attacked.  If someone sees someone attack them from in front they will know they are being attacked anyway.  But if someone attacks them from behind while using stealth or places traps that people do not see nor hear the person can be attacked without their knowledge.

A hypnotic attack can make a subject extra susceptible to torture or pain through a positive hallucination.  This is reflected by  an X point penalty on all dice rolls involving resisting torture or pain with a 1 point penalty to hit for every 1 point of penalty they wish to impose on their victim's torture or pain resistance related checks.  This can add an additional penalty to anyone being tortured by a rehabilitationist in face to face psychological combat.

A hypnotic attack can be done face to face or in a group forum but if another mentalist sees them do this they might figure out what will happen.  They could attack countless people on a group forum but would almost certainly be caught by another mentalist doing what they are doing.  This would almost certainly result in the hypnotists being hunted down to be put permanently in rehabilitation unless they can persuade the right people that the reason was justified.

Helpful Hypnotic Incidents

A helpful hypnotic incident can make someone able to resist physical torture or pain.  This is reflected by an X point bonus on all dice rolls involving resisting torture or pain with a 1 point penalty to hit for every 1 point of bonus they wish to provide on their victim's torture resistance scores.  This can be used to provide a bonus against anyone tortured by a rehabilitationist in face to face psychological combat.  This can be done using a signal device as described earlier that can be sneaked into the setting.  This pain resistance can also be used to deal with other sources of pain such as hot or cold climates but can not prevent injury only help resist the penalties of pain from injury.

A helpful hypnotic incident can make someone able to get a bonus on a pure strength, dexterity or constitution ability score check not related to combat.  This is reflected by an X point bonus on all dice rolls involving a single ability score check with a 1 point penalty to hit for every 1 point of bonus they wish to add to the ability score check.

Helpful Hypnotic incidents might be possible to find on group forums using the bureaucracy proficiency because unlike hypnotic attacks mentalists would not hunt down the user to stop such things but this might cause problems for game play because why have a hypnotist character in the party if you can just get the benefit from videos other hypnotists made.  Perhaps in the Spirit of Job Creation such free sources without scarcity would be discouraged and Hypnotic benefits could only be gotten through forums or face to face interaction in exchange for doing work for the mentalist organization.

10 stun points per level

4  hit points per level

6 psychological health points per level

Saving throw proficiencies : Wisdom, Constituition

Scientists - These people would have the power to get special equipment.  Their are several classes Dungeons and Dragons classes that could be modified except designed to specialize in equipment.  Any class that could magically enhance equipment or obtain, trade for or create magical equipment could be replaced with scientifically doing those things with equipment.  Artificer, Dark Sun Bard, Dark Sun Trader, Enchanter, Alchemist or Geometer (wizard that specializes in scrolls) could have some similarities to this class.  Wild Mage would also fit except with random effects from mad science.  Geometer has certain problems because paper and books are banned in WOJAC but electronic writing which can be censored and controlled is allowed in WOJAC.  Scientists are not good at fighting, they are good at getting equipment which other people use for fighting or for other tasks.

+1 bonus to hit every 3 levels

4 non lethal hit points per level

4 lethal hit points per level

4 psychological health points per level

Scientists are immune to hypnosis attacks but can not benefit from hypnosis either unless they combine with an additional class of mentalist in which case they are not immune to hypnosis

A scientist who is also a mentalist makes a double think check every time they are attacked by hypnosis or try to use hypnosis, a failed double think check means they will be unaffected by hypnosis for good or bad and a succesfull double think check means they maybe effected by hypnosis if the hypnosis succeeds according to the regular rules for seeing if hypnosis may succeed or fail.

Saving throw proficiencies : Intelligence, Wisdom

IF

10  + Double think + Mentalist Level - Scientist Level >= Dice Roll

THEN

Double think is successful and hypnosis might work

IF

10  + Double think + Mentalist Level - Scientist Level < Dice Roll

THEN

Double think fails and hypnosis does not work

Scientists are not immune to psionic attacks or magical mind effecting spells if a high magic world is played and psionics are used

Bureaucrat -  This would be a class that specializes in group forum psychological combat and in finding obscure rules

+ 2 bonus per level on group forum psychological combat

+1 bonus every three levels on face to face psychological combat

+ 1 bonus every three levels on physical combat

Automatically receives 2 bureaucracy proficiency slots and 2 Doctrine Slots in "the State" per Bureaucrat level in addition to any other proficiency slots they would normally get.  They can also purchase additional bureaucracy slots.  Although you normally can not earn doctrine by gaining levels Bureaucrats are an exception.

4 non lethal hit points per level

4 lethal hit points per level

4 psychological health points per level

Bureaucrats are able to request body guards to protect them through use of the electronic group forum even though they have low health

Bureaucrats get a + 2 bonus per Bureaucrat level when defending against psychological attacks against faith in The State

Maintanence Man - This class does not have special class powers involved in psychological or physical combat or scientific equipment invention or hypnosis nor do they have most rogue skills.  The one rogue like skill they have is that they can sabotauge any of the daily chores and also create traps involving tools that normal people have access to involving chores.  They are not especially good at physical or psychological combat like some of the classes that specialize in such things but not especially bad at it either.  They simply are really good at following orders and take less time to do the tasks they are ordered to than the other classes.  Everyone in WOJAC are assigned random chores in a job rotation.  Maintanence Men can complete the chores faster and better.  They have better health and are in better physical condition closer to a fighter in hit points but not in bonuses at hitting other people.  Maintenance men do not have magic in a low magic world and can do the equivelent of cantrips or orisons but only related to chores and maintenance tasks in a high magic world.

Non Dungeon and Dragon Versions that are more skill based than level based

Credit Hours

In WOJAC people will gain credit hours toward each ability for participation in tasks.  Credit hours are similar to character points or skill points in some Role Playing Games or to one of the types of karma in the game of shadowrun except that credit hours can only be spent to improve skills or proficiencies related to a specific task in which they were earned.  Earn enough credit hours and you will gain one point in that skill or proficiency.  This skill improvement system is very similar to the computer game Daggerfall in the elder scrolls series.

Technology - WOJAC is generally designed for 2019 technology and low or no magic except for black boxes that operate at star trek or beyond level technology.  In Dungeons and dragons versions the technology level could be lowered to medieval age and high level magic could be used to replace anything in WOJAK that requires high technology and is key to the game mechanics.  The most important emphasis in WOJAK is mind control being used to make people waste their time doing useless jobs, not what level of technology or magic there is.  Paper and Books are forbidden in WOJAK because they could pass unmonitored information and be used to secretly record history which is forbidden.  Computers and black boxes or cell phones could be replaced with magical scrying devices that are widely available and which people can magically read from a distance instead of reading electronicly.  There could be something like a flat black rock that projects magic illusions on it instead of a cell phone or computer screen.  Or a giant structure made of black rock with a huge hollow hole in the center that has magical three dimensional illusions displayed inside the hole.

Credit hours can be earned by practicing a skill without fighting or competing with any opponent.  Some credit hours related to doctrine of different clubs or groups can be earned listening to lectures at club or group events.  Other skills might need people to do physical actions to practice them and might need the correct equipment and or environmental set up.

But credit hours can be earned faster when competing or fighting against a hostile opponent who is a non player character in a situation in which there would be a penalty if the player character lost.  This could be lethal or non lethal combat, psychological combat or a competition like a contest in which the loser of the contest has some penalty inflicted on them by society and in which society rewards the winner.  This could also be trying to use a stealth type skill not to be caught by a non player character who would punish the player character hiding if they catch them.

Credit hours can not be earned faster by two or more player characters only competing against or fighting other player characters when no non player characters are involved in the conflict, in such a case credit hours can only be earned at the normal pace and not at a accelerated pace.

Detrimental and beneficial skills

A beneficial skill is a skill that it benefits the character to succeed a skill check at.

A detrimental skill is a skill that it benefits the character to fail a skill check at.  These are skills that are bad to improve at.

Faith will be a detrimental skill.  Listening to lectures about groups or clubs can cause someone to gain a beneficial skill in the doctrine of the group or club but also potentially gain a detrimental skill in "faith in" _ fill in the blank

Members of the mentalist club who learn the beneficial skill of hypnosis will have to pick up credit hours in detrimental skills of "false belief in having the superpower of" _ fill in the blank when first learning the skill of hypnosis or during character creation if they start with the skill of hypnosis.

Members of the science club who learn the skill of invention will have to pick up credit hours in detrimental skills of "false belief in how the world works of" _ fill in the blank when first learning the skill of invention or during character creation if they start with the skill of invention.

"Cognitive Dissonance of" _ fill in the blank is a detrimental skill.   This can be a psychosomatic physical reaction or behavior that happens when people receive information that they realize contradicts doctrine taught by a group they have the detrimental skill of faith in.  People can have multiple types of cognitive dissonance skills and different degrees of effects.  Cognitive dissonance is not group specific but applies to any and all groups they have faith in

"Doublethink" is a detrimental skill.  A succesful doublethink check enables someone to not notice a contradiction.  A succesful doublethink check enables someone not to realize that something they are told contradicts the doctrine taught by any group they have faith in.  Although double think is usually detrimental it can be beneficial if someone is a member of both the science club and the mentalist club or if a player character wants to do something that violates the doctrine of their own group.  A player character who is trying to point out contradiction between the behavior or belief of a non player character and the doctrine of a group that non player character is in can not do so if the player character succeeds in a doublethink check based on the player characters double think skill.  A non player charecter who is told a contradiction between their behavior or belief and the doctrine of a group they are in does not notice the contradiction if they succeed at the doublethink skill.

 Doctrine

WOJAC will include lethal physical combat, non lethal physical combat, face to face psychological combat and group forum psychological combat

Physically Combating enemies can only improve physical combat related skills or proficiencies in WOJAC and only those skills or proficiencies related to the type of combat skill the character used.  Characters can improve melee combat skills by participating in melee combat but can not improve ranged combat skills by participating in melee combat and can improve in ranged combat skills by participating in ranged combat.

Psychologically combating opponents face to face can improve face to face psychological skills but not group forum psychological skills.  Psychologically combating people in group forums can improve group forum psychological combat but not face to face psychological combat.

In WOJAC characters can not improve non physical combat skills like hypnosis, navigation, wilderness survival or invention by engaging in melee or ranged combat.

Hypnosis - This skill enables people to achieve physical psychosomatic benefits or harm for themselves or other characters for the placebo and nocebo effect.  This skill also enables people to improve or worsen the effects of Willpower to withstand physical torture or physical pain including pain from cold and heat.  This skill does not prevent injury, it only enables people to resist or ignore pain.  Hypnosis can be used to help people so that they know when they are injured but are able to resist or ignore the pain.  Hypnosis can cause positive and negative hallucinations but can not directly control people's behavior other than buy changing their beliefs.   Hypnosis can create negative hallucinations in which people do not see, smell, hear, or taste something and can be injured by ignoring something that would hurt them such as not knowing they put their hand on a burning hot stove because they feel no pain.  When someone uses hypnosis for pain management they can choose if they will use it in such a way that the person will not feel any pain and get injured or will be aware of pain and able to avoid injury but also have better willpower to withstand the pain.  Hypnosis can also be used to inflict pain on people with no physical injury, this does not physically harm the person but maybe used as a form of non lethal combat to reduce the targets ability to fight you or possibly knock them unconscious.  Members of the science club can not benefit or be harmed from the effects of hypnosis and do not believe that other people can be effected by hypnosis.  There is an exception in which members of the science club can believe in  the existence of hypnosis and also be effected by hypnosis for good or harm but only if they are also members of the mentalist club and only if they both fail belief in their invention skill proficiency and manage to engage in double think.  Characters who have the hypnosis skill can only get it with the price of having a certain number of credit hours worth of wrong beliefs that they have superhuman powers that they do not really have.  Only those who have are members of the mentalist club can learn the hypnosis skill.  Everyone can earn skills in psychological combat but not everyone can earn skill in hypnosis.

Invention - This skill or proficiency enables people to manufacture items of better quality including better lethal and non lethal weapons as well as other items.  Only items of a similar technology level to 2019 AD or 2019 ACE real world earth can be invented with this skill.  This does not enable characters to access new equipment that other people can not access but to access better quality equipment that will give better bonuses when making rolls or do more lethal or non lethal combat damage.  Equipment that has been invented

WOJAC includes game mechanics that can modify any game system

WOJAC primarily works on Skills/Proficiency scores and Ability scores which primarily improve by use

The most important attribute in WOJAC is equivalent to Charisma in Shadowrun, Dungeons and Dragons, Fallout, Arena and Daggerfall the Elder Scrolls, Legacy of the Ancients and other role playing and computer role playing games.  The most important attributes in WOJAC is equivelent to Ego, Presence, Offensive Mental Combat and Defensive Mental Combat in hero system.  This is because most of the combat in WOJAC will revolve around persuading Non Player Charecters to change their behavior instead of fighting people physically.

WOJAC will allow lethal and non lethal combat but characters who use lethal combat on other human beings may end up hunted down and imprisoned in a permanent mental hospital type setting in which they are tortured with psychological experiments until another character can free them after which they will be stuck with fugitive status forever being hunted down to try to be put back in the mental hospital.  As such WOJAC does not allow people to gain ability scores, skills or proficiences by winning experience points in physical combat and then gaining levels such as in Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition.

WOJAC has no races or genders or everyone in WOJAC is the same single human race and gender.  In the WOJAC universe humans have been genetically modified to be without race and all be the same gender which is essentially a Eunuch or a Neuter, nobody in the WOJAC universe has heard of the difference between men and women or white and black people.  There are no Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, or other humanoid races than humans in WOJAC.  As such race and gender do not effect ability scores or skill checks in WOJAC or give anyone special powers in WOJAC.

Difficult but possible overlap with dungeons and dragons.  Better fit with Hero System or Shadowrun.  How WOJAC could be modified to fit Dungeons and Dragons within a open game license.

WOJAC is a problematic fit for Dungeons and Dragons because WOJAC focuses primarily on skills and abilities and not on classes and levels, however the proficiency system for Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition would allow WOJAC to fit.  Replace the word Skill with proficiency if converting to Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.
